Your last post may be correct as it applies to A&T's current situation "if it comes to that which I pray it does not because I am rooting for Coach Brown and A&T to succeed." Again, you are "assuming" it all most be paid at once. Also, if he finds another job his new salary will offset what he is owed by A&T. Even with my what I said above, nothing in your post supports your statement that this good business practice or rule applies only to FBS and not FCS schools. The amount of money these schools are dealing with maybe different, but the practice/rule still applies or is valid. Your post "could be" used as proof of why FCS schools should heed this rule or warning and not as proof that the rule does not apply. People see things from different perspective. I wish some of this good information and discussion provided by many would be taken up in the appropriate thread. Maybe the moderate can move some of these posts so that future replies will be in the correct thread. Nothing that the previous poster provided proves it is actually accurate. It this point it is simply an opinion I can agree with this post as well. Remember I said it was maybe a "mindset or wise decision-making" and not that it was accurate or a rule.

TX A&M had to ask the booster club to help pay the cost of Fischer buyout... A&T Athletics Foundation nor Athletics has $2.1M to buyout and bring a new coach on board. We will use unrestricted contributions within the 12th Man Foundation for the first one-time payments and the athletic department will fund the annual payments for the remaining portion by growing our revenues and adjusting our annual operating budget accordingly,” Bjork said. “This will only involve athletics and 12th Man Foundation funds.” Not even TX A&M has the buyout money readily available... His contract is in the $18.91 forum. It’s not a lump sum buyout. He gets paid monthly and if he gets another job, they only owe him the difference between his new job and what his salary was for us. Thanks. I believe I know now and understand why some have decided not to provide information to my questions in the thread I created. I respect your decision. 👀

Great example. Since I live in Texas, I was very aware of this news. Crazy money, but Texas A&M has crazy oil money backing them to get the school out of trouble which supports your point that A&T can't afford to make that kind of decision or mistake. But you are pointing out an exception to the "rule, practice, mindset, opinion, etc" not a norm. We know many rules have exceptions to them. Additionally, Texas A&M only asked for assistance for the 1st installment which was probably very large and covered in the contract or negotiated after they decided to part ways. The school covered the rest. { We will use unrestricted contributions within the 12th Man Foundation for the "first one-time payments" ... }

Knowing what you are holding in your hands (we all know Coach Brown's situations) I would hesitate to ask you to be my partner. Too risky for my liking.

funny how some folk "flip the script". they allege that some "bogus" rule exists then expect others to prove that it "doesn't exist". no, it doesn't work like that, its the other way around. if you allege that a certain rule exists, then provide proof that it exists. its not up to someone else to prove that it "doesn't exist"...

It makes the other team nervous and makes you focus more.

Well sometimes I even have to be fact checked or questioned which is why I don't take posts on here personally or discriminate. I try to respect everyone's opinions, but we don't have to always agree.

That said, I would still project the full payout numbers in case he decides to just chill and get paid from our contract (doubt he would do that though).

I'm trusting the Process. E. Hilton hasn't missed in a long time. ( Even while the waters were bumpy.) For instance, Coach Sam Washington. Coach Washington became a Good Head Coach, with some great wins.(In my Eyes). Speaking of eyes. I would see Coach Brown's eyes/face last season, all types of weather, Team taking those blows, saying/thinking "they had better get us now" ( Like Coach Broadway). The Players that can get into This School (stringent GPA requirements and application rates) nowadays shows focus from them. On The Field, we were close in flashes.
I'm looking forward to this Season.

Let's keep it simple. Let's get back to doing "chicken".
1) stop the run, 2) protect the football 3) win the kicking game.

I'm not sure we can "fry" chicken with relative ease in this league as we once did in our previous leagues. We need to work on some new batter as our palate is different.

I think if one were to ask Coach B about the ingredients in doing chicken he would agree with it. He and his staff just doesn't say it in those terms. And I'm gonna say with ABSOLUTE CONFIDENCE that "frying" chicken is NOT as easy in the CAA as it was in both the MEAC & BS. I believe part of the new batter is to be bigger and deeper on our defensive line...which it looks like we're doing. That said, Aggies Do! Let's go!
