Maurie McInnis, a cultural historian who leads Stony Brook University, will be Yale University’s next president, school officials announced Wednesday.
McInnis will start July 1. “There’s so much I’m excited about,” she said in an interview Wednesday, “... being able to return to my alma mater to really get to know this community in a deeper and broader way, to really get to know our faculty and students, to hear their aspirations for our future, and collaboratively designing that vision for where Yale will be going in the future.”
