We're up 10-2 in the bottom of the 8th. As my late grandmother would say, "We're beating the snot out of them tonight!"

Aggies 10 North Florida 5
Our pitching needs to tighten up.
What’s sad is that our website/esteemed sports information people had NO LIVE STATS nor updates. I/we got our information from D1baseball.com.
Again, it’s a shame that the most successful athletic program at our university gets 3rd class citizen treatment, but they’ll follow a 1-10 football team to the gates of hell with play-by-play coverage.
Go figure.

I'm not sure if you can compare the two Pride, but I'm picking up what you are putting down.

it’s a shame that the most successful athletic program at our university gets 3rd class citizen treatment are you suggesting that "baseball" is our most successful athletic program at a&t? if so, how so? personally (without checking records), i'd say that our women's basketball and our women's bowling teams are our most successful athletic programs at a&t. after those 2 teams, i'd say track & field is next but would've been tops before coach ross left. but baseball? i don't see how baseball could possibly be our most successful athletic program, not even top 5 in my opinion...

Go figure. I understand what your saying and I agree . But you have to understand that A&T is just being A&T ,which is shameful when it comes to covering our athletic programs outside of football and basketball. Even then it's hit and miss . Also comparing A&T to what other institutions and programs do is like beating a dead horse over and over . Our fanbase is not as involved as it should be period. As someone stated we are a wine and cheese type fan base, and with wine and cheese you get frigid uptight less involved interaction with the teams. Even winning will not change that. If your fans are not interested enough to push the issue when it comes to coverage , if your institutions are not pushing the issue when it comes to covering it, what makes you think outside interest will force themselves to cover our program . A&T has over 14k students. With some of them being journalism majors. You mean to tell me that you cannot find students that are journalism majors that will not jump at the opportunity to provide this information in real time and posted on whatever website for the experience. As my grandfather would say " why the hell you going to have Vines full of grapes, and you like muscadine red wine, but not use them to make your wine". What's shameful is out athletic department is not as on board with Athletics as a lot of us think they are. It's the institutions responsibility to provide that information and make it accessible to the fan base first and foremost. All things start with the institution.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Sophomore right-handed pitcher Brock Duff (W, 1-0) pitched excellent in middle relief duty, and the North Carolina A&T offense got hot once again as the Aggies improved to 2-0 on the road with a 10-5 win over the North Florida Ospreys in non-conference baseball play at Harmon Stadium on Wednesday. The Black College Nines released their first HBCU top 10 baseball poll on Wednesday, with the Aggies ranked No. 1. They lived up to the billing against the Ospreys, pounding out a season-high 14 hits for the third time this season and improving to 10-2 on the season. The Aggies are off to their best start in modern history, dating back to when the program joined the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in 1971. ncataggies.com/news/2024/3/6/a-t-baseball-continues-great-start-to-season-by-beating-unf.aspx

Who knew adding another paid coach to the staff would have THIS much success this early?
Either way, if we can get 2 from South Florida this weekend, I'll begin thinking this squad will not only make the CAA tournament, but we could end up winning that thing.
Also, The AAF has gotta figure out how we can help to keep Coach Hall around next year. I'm sure this start is going to have some teams in larger conferences perk up and start sniffing around #TheWar.

I’ll be more than happy to answer. Do a 5, 10, 15, 20 & 24 year analyses of player development per sport based upon the number of kids drafted into pro ball & signed to contracts & then playing pro ball from NC A&T regardless of sport/program. Hint: It’s not football. It’s definitely not basketball. It’s not men’s track and field, although we do have gold medalist olympians. Hint: Track the # of kids drafted and/or signed to pro contracts under: Keith Shumate Ben Hall Update: 2 Aggies are in major league camp and will either break spring training on the MLB roster or in AAA. THIS from a program with minimal support, minuscule student/alumni interest and support, a third-world home stadium, & in the heart of “powerhouses” with million dollar budgets at WFU, ECU, NCSU, UNC, Duke, UNC-Charlotte…

THIS from a program with minimal support, minuscule student/alumni interest and support, a third-world home stadium, & in the heart of “powerhouses” with million dollar budgets at WFU, ECU, NCSU, UNC, Duke, UNC-Charlotte… what you've identified is "individual" post graduate success. mind you, there's several "levels" of pro baseball when you count the "minors". yet, we've also had plenty of former basketball and football players who played in professional leagues other than the nfl and nba. not to mention, baseball rosters are "larger" than basketball rosters and there's far more baseball rosters than football, so i don't think its a stretch to suggest that there's more "opportunities" to play pro baseball than most other sports. nonetheless, "individual" post graduate success is not the same as "team success". the baseball "team" itself clearly is not our most successful "team sport" at a&t. "to me", the most successful athletic program at a&t is not based on "individual" post graduate success. instead, its based on "team success". clearly our women's basketball program has been the most successful "team sport" at a&t for the last 15 or 20 years (ever since coach bibbs was first hired). no other team at a&t has been as "consistent" as championship contenders as our women's basketball program. and our women's bowling team has been a "top 10" ranked d1 program in the country "consistently" for at least the last decade or so, no other a&t team can boast that accomplishment. baseball is a different beast. there's about a "trillion" opportunities to play minor league baseball, baseball has roughly "40" draft rounds. whereas the nba only has "2" rounds and the nfl only has "7" rounds. so of course there's far more opportunities to play pro baseball than pro football and basketball...
