Oh wish more people came to games would definitely want to try this... That would be dope, but our students don't come to the game, nor do they even know that we have a baseball team. Those factors, and that they're too cool to do anything remotely as involved as that. We can't get them to put their cell phones down at basketball games, so YOU KNOW they ain't doing this!

I've been to several games this season, and there has been decent student turnout at each of them. Some might have been girlfriends and roommates, but there definitely were young people in A&T gear when I was there. The problem is that the stadium is probably one of the worst venues to watch a baseball game in America. The only working seats are hard plastic, and the rest of the facility is broken concrete. Plus there is still trash everywhere, outside the stadium and in the tunnels. Going to baseball game in War Memorial right now will ruin your whole mood - regardless of how well the team is performing.

Going to baseball game in War Memorial right now will ruin your whole mood - regardless of how well the team is performing. You're speaking facts. When I played, Memorial Stadium was in use by the Greensboro Hornets, the farm team of the Yankees, so it was kept up pretty well. You're also correct about the "fans" in the stands. My girlfriend(s), chapter brothers, homies from the yard, and my parents/family were there, just as that same crew was there for my teammates. Outside of that...Nah. I think the best crowd we had when I played was a nice spring day in 1988. My girlfriend was DP for the Delta line, and they had 26. We (Kappas) had 16, and there were 4 brothers on the team. The Alphas had 12 or so, and they were out there. I was president of the Pan-Hellenic Council, and I jokingly said "It would be nice if y'all brought y'alls boys out to a game!" Next thing I knew, the area where you probably sit (behind home plate and right under the press box where Joe Level is) was full of Pyramids, Scrollers, and Sphinxmen. It made me play a little harder out there in left field and have a bit more Rickey Henderson swagger when I came to bat (You couldn't tell me I wasn't Rickey Henderson!). It was a dope sight, and WE WON! We beat Saint Bonaventure 7-3. I'll NEVER forget that game, or that season. Fun times.

Eastern Illinois is now 1-9 on the season and they already lost a series against FAMU. 'THRILLA, it wouldn't have mattered to me if EIU hadn't scored a run all season coming into the series with us, the name "Eastern Illinois" listed three times in our win column looks good on the ledger. Keep it going, Men!I agree with you... I don't care what "their" record is as long as we beat them. Hell, it ain't our fault they suck. Do you think Wake Forest thought about our record when they were beating the crap out of our team? Hail naw... they just pimped slapped us, wrote it down as a win and moved on. To paraphrase an old college friend... "They should have a better team cause they were free before us!" A win is a win so, let's light up a cigar and bring on the next opponent.

Them continuing to win, paired with them taking down the old stands that sit behind first & third plate & replacing it with a turf grass area for people to sit will definitely bring more people. I know the grass area was allegedly in the plans so only time will tell. I’d genuinely get more into but I avoid the stadium to the point where I truly would hate to go in (only walked inside once). I drive down Lindsay every day and it never gets easier. Even the parking lot is in shambles. The park and ride lot, tennis court behind it, literally all of it. Looks completely abandoned & definitely stops me from going to the games at this point. I just watch online

It is very depressing to watch a home game in person. As much as I want to support Coach Hall and the guys, it destroys my Aggie Pride to see our university in such a poor light.

I figured as much, which is why I honestly don’t even bother. I worry that folks would call me a fake fan for it, but it just bothers me too bad to see it in the state it’s in.

It is very depressing to watch a home game in person. As much as I want to support Coach Hall and the guys, it destroys my Aggie Pride to see our university in such a poor light. that's 100% "exactly" how i felt when i last went to one of our spring football games at aggie stadium and the grass was so "jacked up", i vowed never to return to a spring game again unless the grass issue was fixed and indeed, i haven't been back since. coach broadway was our coach at that time but the grass was so "jacked up", it was embarrassing and yes, it was "depressing" to me. i mean, every single word you posted above is 100% "exactly" how i felt at that spring game. so i personally know the feeling that you had...

The present day Spring Game just extenuates the rusted paint of the stands now. Its something I completely forget about during the regular season, but during track season and the Spring Game every photo has carolina blue rusted paint in the stands. Every single photo lmao. I honestly woud've thought that would be a much easier fix too, as opposed to the major stuff
