Respect!! Campbell has been a nationally ranked team most of the season They got the 2-1 series split but we gave them all they could handle. No easy games in this conference. Agreed. I feel really good about the War Boys the rest of the way and making the postseason tournament |

We just picked up a mid-week game against #16 Virginia Tech. I think that it is scheduled for May 1st in Blacksburg.

Right now we are in 9th place out of 12 teams in the CAA. caasports.com/standings.aspx?standings=209This squad can definitely play with anybody on the remaining schedule, but they are gonna have to start stacking some wins together if they hope to make the CAA tournament. |

Yeah, the lost hurt because a win would have kept us in the top half of the conference standings, and I think only the top 6 teams are eligible for the conference championships. However, with us only getting 2 hits and probably struck out 10+ times, we were beyond fortunate to score 5 runs. Campbell gave us a chance by making errors and walking our batters. Nonetheless, I like the way our guys hung in there on such an unproductive day at the plate and took advantage of Campbell's mistakes. Being at the game, I felt like even though we got it into extra innings, Campbell still had the advantage because the longer the game went, we would have to go deeper into our bullpen and Campbell has far more HR power than us. At that point in the game, it just takes one big hit to win it. The ending was a bit dramatic because some A&T players and A&T fans were ticked off at the guy who hit the walk-off HR for flipping the bat and reportedly saying, "Now get the **** off my field." 😊

I feel really good about the War Boys the rest of the way and making the postseason tournament I like our team's fight, but if we're going to make the conference championship, we had better start sweeping or at least winning most all of our remaining conference series. The CAA only takes 6 teams to the conference championships, and we are currently sitting in the 9th spot with 18 conference games remaining. We have 6 3-game series left within the conference for a total of 18 games. Of those 18 games, 9 are against teams ahead of us in the conference and 9 are with teams below us. The games are also evenly split with 9 home games and 9 away games. We need to start by winning this weekend's series against W&M. |

The War Boys have now lost 8 out of their last 9 games.
They desperately need to sweep the series against William & Mary this weekend.
