The article referenced above was written in 2021. For clarity please cite your source.
Not having criminal charges doesn’t mean inappropriate actions didn’t happen. OJ was looking for the killer until he died.

Again I ask what building should be named for Jesse Jackson since it's not a difficult decision well, there ya go. as codeblue pointed out, the student center still does not have a name. and i'm not gonna waste my time figuring out which buildings have not been named after someone nor which future buildings have not been named yet. as far as i'm concerned, let the admins find a building, it shouldn't be difficult. but the man deserves to have a building named after him. a&t to this very day uses his name to a&t's benefit. just check any aggie posting of "famous" a&t alums and jesse jackson is usually the first name you'll see. my point is that he deserves to have a building named after him and its long "overdue". you always take issues like this off on another tangent. instead of discussing whether he's worthy or not, you want someone to determine which building it should be and that's not my job... Not taking on a tangent You make it seem as if it's just a decision like hey , that building right there. Let's name it for Jesse Jackson. I'm trying to understand why you think Jesse Jackson deserves a building before Chancellor Renick. That's all. You don't like to discuss things. And when someone counters your point , you start on this rant. I apologize for engaging with you. Have to remind myself not too . My Bad

Thanks and I’m not trying to get into a back and forth about the deceased Brother, but your quote is saying what I said. The audit had findings that didn’t result in criminal charges. Doesn’t mean there weren’t errors made, just that they didn’t rise to the level of disciplinary actions. The funds shouldn’t have been put in his discretionary account. “Investigators looked at $380,000 of the Pepsi money that they said had been transferred into Renick’s personal spending account. Officials at A&T said a “misinterpretation” was the reason why $380,000, which was supposed to be deposited in university coffers, was instead put into the chancellor’s Discretionary Fund in the N.C. A&T Foundation. “A misinterpretation of the vending policy resulted in the transferring of the funds to the foundation,” said university spokeswoman Mable Scott.”

No, you said he used university funds for his own benefit. That statement is not accurate.

Anytime you want to make a public apology to the Renick family, please feel free.

No, you said he used university funds for his own benefit. That statement is not accurate. “The two funds focused on by the investigation were The Future Engineering Faculty Fellowship Program and Pepsi vending contract. The FEFFP was funded by a grant from the Office of Naval Research and administered by Huff. The money from Pepsi was intended for student financial aid and campus debt and, according to the audit report, paid A&T $140,000 a year. Allowable expenses would have included scholarships, student financial aid and other student activities as authorized by the chancellor.” No apologies sir. He pulled money that was earmarked for scholarships, student financial aid and other student activities. Paying for your wife to go on business trips or artwork should not have came from that account. Not criminal, but he messed up.

You didn’t say he made a mistake; you said he used the funds for his own benefit. That is inaccurate. You are making inaccurate statements about a man who is no longer living.
The district attorney said he did not personally benefit from the funds.
Even schools officials later said any misuse of the funds were an innocent mistake.
But yet, you want to sit here and continue to besmirch the memory of a dead man.

My Bad see, that's what i mean by you going off on another tangent. i have "never" in my entire born life said that jesse jackson deserves a building before renick. you won't find anywhere on the entire internet where i said that. so you're just making stuff up. btw, you initiated this dialogue, "not me"...

And that was only one of the issues as to why I don't feel he needs a building named after him. You want to keep going back and forth you can. But, you should be asking the News & Record for a retraction.

This is not about him having a name on a building; this is about you saying he used school funds for his own benefit.
I provided you clear proof from the District Attorney that he did not and yet you still refuse to apologize for spreading that misinformation.
