Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Primary Purpose of Position
To assist the head coach in the administration and operation of the women’s basketball program consistent with the policies of NCA&T University, the NCAA, and other appropriate governing bodies
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is a preeminent land-grant institution where high-achieving scholars are engaged in transformative teaching and learning, civic outreach, interdisciplinary research and innovative solutions to global challenges. Consistent with the mission statement of the University, the department of athletics provides a comprehensive program of intercollegiate competition as an integral part of the total educational experience for all students. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, or a combination of education and coaching experience, and participation in the sport itself at the varsity level.
Demonstrated knowledge of innovative and proven coaching strategies and techniques.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a commitment to developing and maintaining a positive and productive playing environment for all team members.
Proven ability to provide mentoring and leadership to student-athletes and a commitment to student-athlete welfare.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Required License or Certification
Is this position eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies.
