In WBB I want us to play Norfolk...on a Friday Nite. There or Here.
Or (Crazy idea) have a Mens & Women Double-Header on a Sat vs NCCU.
Why? Man I remember that last Hampton Womens Game up there. Good Crowd. But the Mens Game, (MLK Wknd) I think was a Crazy Crowd. I didn't go to that one. But now, Norfolk could be different since Everybody is Balling M/W. I like the Old School Pairing/Double-header. I like the Tidewater Area, with the HBCU Vibe. I had a ball at that Norfolk FB Game ( when Quarterback K.White busted out.)
I Heard that Coach Reed/Formally Jackson St., is now at Charlotte. That's interesting too.
The Non-Conference Schedule could use a bit more Creativity ( as long as the "bread" $$ is there). ( Maybe it takes a Promoter).

"double-headers" are well worth my time to make that 5 hour drive down to greensboro for a clubcorbett basketball game. i honestly think ad hilton should consider your proposal. great idea...

Not a good idea to host a double unless the school double the ticket cost.
The men's game is a guaranteed sellout, why lose money by combining games.
Only a good idea if they empty the gym between games.

I don't know that Norfolk would be much of a draw to Corbett, but I can get with NCCU.
I, actually, think we should have a home & home with them every year.
And I would empty the gym between the games...and charge for both.

man, pub-leeze. empty the gym between the games? that's crazy. other than playing hampton and the wnit home games, our ladies hardly draw a lot of fans by themselves against caa teams. at best, they might draw 900 fannies and a lot of them are "students" who are covered by student fees.
so just how much "profit" do you think the ladies' games make against caa teams, excluding hampton? yes, we would draw more fans by playing nsu and nccu, but its ridiculous to empty the gym in order to "try" to make a little more money which likely wouldn't be very much, it any at all. i mean, what fans will stay and pay "twice" to see a&t play the same school? man, that's crazy.
for the most part, you likely wouldn't make very much "extra" profits by emptying the gym cuz some folks would just go home after the women's game or not attend the women's game altogether so that they'd only pay once to see the men. you'd definitely lose some of the women's crowd, some paying fans wouldn't come at all to the women's game and just go to the men's game.
besides, just how much money do you think we "net" at standalone women's games? whatever it is, i'd be willing to bet that its not "significant". making folk empty the gym between games makes a&t look "desperate" for money...

Yeah, that might work better. No issues with getting people out, getting them back in, etc.

It seems that the time is right, as Womens Basketball is on the Come up in general, and at A&T it was getting Crazy.

Ever since we left the MEAC, I have been advocating that we should always play NCCU in an annual home-&-home series.
And concerning a price for a doubleheader, OSA, you said exactly what I was about to post. The ticket price should be increased 50% for a doubleheader and not have people leave the arena just to re-enter with a different ticket for the second game.
If a regular game ticket is $20, then the doubleheader ticket price should be $30.

Rather play Sun Belt , Southern and American conference schools.
Not really interested for a MEAC game except NCCU for men and women
