I think NC State's chancellor is retiring in 2025.

The Chancellors see the writing on the wall and are heading for the hills.

What is the writing on the wall? They don't like what the UNC BOG and the State Legislature is doing with the UNC System and DEI is just one part of it. You don't normally see a Chancellor jump from Chapel Hill to Michigan State unless there are some choppy waters ahead for the system.

The moment I started watching this closely was when the UNC Chancellor went to Michigan State and they put in an Interim Chancellor that had no higher education experience... And the test for all of this was the Fayetteville State Chancellor selection. That guy only got the role because of his support of the Silent Sam statue remaining on Chapel Hill's campus. Luckily for them, they are one of the few UNC system schools with enrollment increases and some suspect it's because of the UNC Promise initiative. Either way, do not be surprised if Peter Hans drops another one of his people in as our Chancellor. And, it's only going to get worse if Mark Robinson becomes Governor.

An interim chancellor for Appalachian State University was announced today following the resignation of Sheri Everts earlier this week. App State’s Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Heather Norris will take on the role. She’s been at the university for more than two decades, starting as an assistant professor in 2003. In a press release, Norris called App State her home. "I look forward to working collaboratively with faculty, staff, students and members of the communities we serve to ensure the continued success of this great institution," Norris said. University officials say the search for a permanent chancellor will be launched in the near future. www.wfdd.org/story/interim-chancellor-announced-appalachian-state-university
