Typically, stopping the run is most important. But if you have virtually no passing game, like we did for the overwhelming part of last year, the need for passing can surpass the need to stop the run. Hell we couldn't stop the pass either especially after the catch because half of our defensive backs couldn't tackle. We still have work to do on both sides of the ball. Most times teams use the run to set up the pass.

Will our fate depend more on our ability to stop the run or our ability to have a decent passing game? Passing game and less fumbles!! And less (like zero) PENALTIES!!!!

He looked like Tarik at times. I said this after the Last game of the season and people were saying I was crazy for the comparison but him and Kenji are a good 1,2 punch Add Graves to that punishment. I had forgotten how we ran the ball last year on teams. And didn’t close the Show. And that’s without really passing the ball. Man this is going to shut up a lot of mouths this Season.

I still think Kenji is RB1 once the season begins. But that doesn't take away from what Graves brings to the running game. And Blizzard will get his touches. Pound for Pound, Blizzard is our most dynamic running back.

Our potential running game, QB’s that can take what’s given ( passing) to get a 1st down , and then all of them can make a play with their legs, will keep us in most games. Or at the very least shorten the game.
I can’t believe how poorly our passing yards were and not loosing 50-0. ( Thrilla made me realize it), Coach was probably flabbergasted but kept it under covers.
Those Days are over!

Few things: - Did anybody see Jailen Hicks? - Jonathan Cannon ran wit the 1st team (for the most part), as opposed to Jason Ivey, at LT. - Henry Daniel (DE/DT) ran with the 2nd team as opposed to 1st team like last year.

This is the 2nd year in a row where I thought Duece Steven Davis looked really good out there. Exciting young player to look out for!

Will our fate depend more on our ability to stop the run or our ability to have a decent passing game? We can't afford to compromise on either due to the importance of time of possession. We don't get teams off the field on defense we lose. We can't pass the ball then (1) the offense will stall, (2) defense will stack against the run, and (3) defense gets less rest. Be greedy and demand both.

Dixon was on sideline with Burnette (lb) ; I have not seen Hicks at track practice when I have been there. However , since they practice in shifts I could have missed him.
