You all who think true freshmen are going to come in and become our saviors in stopping the run are dreaming. Either way, we will have to rely on those true freshman this Fall. Even if we get a transfer portal DT, we will still need those true freshman to step up and play. Either way, don’t come into this season with unrealistic expectations, Aggies.

Will our fate depend more on our ability to stop the run or our ability to have a decent passing game?

I thought both Christian and Blizzard looked good. They will make a good one two punch. Blizzard had a lot yards running right through the middle of the defensive line. Might be a cause for concern? Hard to judge the qb's when none of them had a lot of time to throw the ball. KJ's feet were the difference. Graves look good also I like the way he makes people miss in tight spaces. That kid from Texas Christian throws a nice ball with a lot of touch.

Offensive stick with their bread and butter. If it's the Run, they will run and control the clock with a few passes in between. That's what good offensive do. Our receivers have to get better period

You all who think true freshmen are going to come in and become our saviors in stopping the run are dreaming. I tend to agree. That said, we'll see what happens but the one (if there's only one) I hope can get good playing time is the 6'3 315 NT. And hope we're able to bring in 1 or 2 "experienced" DTs.

Will our fate depend more on our ability to stop the run or our ability to have a decent passing game? Passing game and less fumbles!! Typically, stopping the run is most important. But if you have virtually no passing game, like we did for the overwhelming part of last year, the need for passing can surpass the need to stop the run.

You all who think true freshmen are going to come in and become our saviors in stopping the run are dreaming. agreed. dt is a position of "brute strength" and usually true freshmen aren't as strong as upper classmen, especially 4th or 5th year players. skilled positions are a different matter where "brute strength" is not as important as at the dt position...

The good to great teams are equally good at both the run and the pass . This keeps the defense guessing. But that is not what you said something that if I passing game is clicking a team we're not continue to run the ball. You didn't mention anything about a team being behind. And even then it depends on how much time is on the clock and how far they are behind. A good example would be a team like Kennesaw State. They are run heavy but they will pass from time to time especially if they're running games successful.

Hell we couldn't stop the pass either especially after the catch because half of our defensive backs couldn't tackle. We still have work to do on both sides of the ball.
