"Legacy" - People who have bought designated seats and/or tail gate passes as traditional yearly ticket holders during the priority purchase period but without having joined or donated to the AAF.
You now need to be a AAF donor in good standing (by April 13th) to continue to hold on to those designated seat assignments and tailgate priority privilege. The only exception among the Legacy ticket holders would be living original Gold Helmet* donors.
*(They were directly responsible for raising the $2.4 million in the late 70's to construct what was the original Aggie Stadium).

To put it in simpler terms, not only will you need to join AAF, but you probably need to join one of the higher donor levels to get things such as priority season tickets AND an early period for booking your Sheraton hotel for GHOE. Specifically, you'll need to be at the $2,500 level or higher to ensure you won't scramble for game tickets, tailgating spots, and hotel rooms.

I have to admit, this is a "good problem" to have. If we got folks in the AAF that are giving enough to have access to those seats and tailgating spots...and we got folks that are aren't members of the AAF they need to join, and join at the needed to hold those spots...or they have to give them up.

Original i became a so called legacy season ticket holder when a&t left the meac, that's when i stopped contributing to the aaf. i will continue to purchase season tickets but i will gladly give up my 2 seat locations if it means having to re-join the aaf to keep them. i got a letter in the mail a couple of months ago regarding this new policy but it ain't gonna force me to re-join the aaf unless a&t re-joins the meac. i can tolerate being moved to another seat. heck, i don't know if my seats are very desirable to other folks anyway...

Speaking of "Legacy " if you want to get an earful of disappointment about Aggie Athletics and its treatment of fans, talk to the "original " Gold Helmet members. We're the ones that made the original donations to build Aggie Stadium. Since making my original donation (1/12th of my annual salary) back in mid 1970s, I've felt pushed, shoved and ignored by the Athletics Department. At one point several Gold Helmet members threatened suing the University to attain services promised under the original contract. Hey I realize the University entered into a bad contract back in 1970s but a contract is a contract. Had they realized we would live this long they probably would have put in a time limit. But they were anxious to get the cash to build the new football stadium. I'm a member of AAF but my experience has taught me that at any moment they can rip up our current agreement and put in new requirements. Requirements that shove me out and reward the new affluent Aggies.

Don't know how it would be done but I think it would be cool if BDV supported one or more athletes through the collective.

I joined the AAF because they left the MEAC, the MEAC had a lack of vision, innovation, and was more loyal to ppl than the schools. I'm glad A&T left and will glady donate more to counter act the plague of old school thinking that's holding our schools back.
