Just wondering if coach Rob would be willing to change his offense next year to a more up tempo style base on projected talent.Of course defense could still be our calling card.Women basketball is really taking off and I think A&T is in a great position to capitalize on this momentum. A strong out of conference schedule along with an up tempo offense would generate a lot of excitement at Corbett.

I like coaches offensive system because they play at a advantaged controlled pace..i.e either Tempo or down depending on the situation and what the opponent gives them. With the talent and depth that we have now I can't see any reason to change to one tempo when you can do both at the blink of your eye.

We just added much more depth with these signees...
This year we experienced personal reasons, in season transfers, and injuires to deplete our team
It was obvious that late in the season we were a little weary and tired, from the games I watched
A nice blend of transfers and newcomers, excited to see how it will play out..
Be forewarned, expect some more roster turbulence before the season starts....

I'm not talking portal, but things happen related to players and coaches that could possibly affect rosters...IJS Thinking you are commenting about being forewarned statement above... One year we had this player from SC during the Bibbs era, she played the 1st half of the season and was declared inelgible shortly thereafter....she was a baller, Mikala Scott

A player can decide to leave the team at any time for whatever reason or reasons,by their choice or by the coach's choice.

Transfer portal is only closed for new entries. Kids remaing in the portal can still be signed. Also if I'm not mistaken, graduates can still enter the portal?
Let's not close ourselves off to any possibilities.

Let's not close ourselves off to any possibilities. The TP is always open for graduates. Also SA receive an extra 30-day time period to enter the Transfer Portal if there is a head coaching change or if aid is canceled.

Thus our offense slows down swinging the ball around ect. One thing happened during the season, I think Acox played the 5 because of Clarks foul trouble. ( I know that Acox is leaving) And She was a beginning to be a straight problem for some Teams when She Ran. Even Her just getting position early-down Low- collected Fouls.

The only thing I just like is when Clark is in the game we have a tendency to swing the ball without much movement. I don't know if that's by Design, and saying that even with Clark in the game the offensive players should still be moving off of pics and cutting to the basket. Clark has shown that she can play in a uptempo motion offense. It just bugs me when they have her just standing in the post waiting for the ball. Movement creates openings an opportunities for the easy shots , even when the offense has slowed down. Other than that I love coach robs offensive system.

A recap update of the 2024/2025 roster so far: Chaniya Clark 6'4 C Delaney Yarborough 6'3 C Rachel Griffin 6'3 C Keona Curtis 6'1 F Paris Locke 6'0 F Darrien Howard 6'0 F
Amber Howard 6'1 F Elliott Jessup 6'0 F Ajia James 6'1 F D'Mya Tucker 5'11 G Maleia Bracone 5'10 G Jordyn Dorsey 5'9 G Eva Andrews 5'9 G Reiven Douglas 5'7 G
Jakieya Thompson 5'7 G Tamia Darden 5'9 G Raigan Lawrence 5'8 G Nahndi Smith 5'6 G 9 guards,6 forwards and 3 centers It's been a busy off season already. I wonder what the up coming season will bring.A lot of potential talent.
More changes to come I am sure. Looks like the preseason conditioning has started. Last year near the end of the season, conditioning was raised on this site as reason for the slump.Hopefully we now have a roster that will allow a quality rotation to keep our starters fresher thru out the season and into the tournament.

I also agree that conditioning was not the main reason for the poor 2nd half of the season performance. I believe unexpected injuries, depth in key positions, and the other teams were better prepared to play an opponent the 2nd or third time around.
