Are you saying our LB positions are already locked down? If so, which LBs? "and a few on the offensive line and at linebacker being the exceptions" and "In my opinion it's Open Competition that will start in the spring and extend into the fall camp" dose that sound like anyone has a position "locked down" . The problem with our defensive unit was not the LB's but the defensive line and DB's that did more to avoid tackling then they did tackling. If the D line can not occupy the offensive lineman and create fill spaces for the LB and allow the O linemen to get to the second level and shade the linebackers it doesn't matter who the linebacker is. The linebackers were not the weak point of the defense but they were affected by our lack of size and effectiveness of our defensive line . There is no such thing As a Locked Down Position in Football. The philosophy that I have which was passed on to me by my mentors and I passed on to my players was " you have the position NOW, it is up to you to Prepare and Keep It" . Dude, I'm not trying to be the "language police", but you literally said, "With quarterback, running back and a few on the offensive line and at linebacker being the exceptions. After last season, In my opinion it's Open Competition..." You used the conjunction AND when you stated "being the exceptions", so that includes QBs, RBs and LBs as exceptions to open competition. If competition for a position is not open, then it is closed or "locked down". Apparently, you meant something else, but I can only respond to what you actually wrote because I can't read your mind. All you had to say is that's not what you meant to say.

My greatest concern is overall wellness. Have we addressed our nutrition plans and strength/conditioning? We have shortcomings there. I'm comfortable with Brown making recommendations and sharing his need with the AD. But will we deliver? Have we made improvements in this area since Brown was hired? Hopefully, we hired the nutritionist before Summer. So, we should begin to see some improvements. But most improvements won’t be made until the locker room and weight room are expanded.

I don't see what expansion has to do with strength either, unless it is players will not have to wait for machines.

An improved and expanded nutrition station with space for more materials storage of these quality food and drink items, I suppose. I think we need the proper storage space to ensure we can store the proper fruits, vegetables, dairy and proteins to minimize spoilage. Plus, the additional and new workout machines will reduce wait times and possibly allow for even more advanced exercises.

I see on the NCAT website we are still hiring for a Dietitian. I hope we get all the resources to develop these young men

You can't have proper physical development without proper nutrition.

Don’t know why, but I don’t remember him. Is he coming on a PWO offer?
