Hall Of Famers Elmer Alston and Joe Howell passed very recently. They both were greats in their day at the once Basketball "Mecca" of the CIAA and MEAC.

I don't think Elmer Austin is in the Aggie Sports Hall Of Fame. The only player to be Player of the Year In the CIAA and MEAC. SMH! RIP Gentlemen! Obituary - Elmer Austin

RIP Aggies!! I had the opportunity to see Elmer play. He was great on the boards and could score. Don't recollect him being voted to the Aggie HOF. If he wasn't he should have been.

Joe Howell was a great all conference guard who played alongside Al Attles for Cal Irving in the late fifties and early sixties.
