Well, had to check and see who Campbell has played. They lost to NCCU in OT at home. Beat the Citadel at home.

We made quite a few shots, that we hadn't been making before, by several different players.

And having a true Center, that can score, rebound, doesn't get bullied as bad and can block shots is YUGE!

Coach Ross is solid. Teaches fundamentals, apparently has buy in from the players and makes adjustments. All this with limited talent. Imagine if Powell and Watson stayed and bought in….

This is the only men's basketball team we have ,so yes it's for real and yes Ross can coach and yes this team and coach is alot better then some of the so called basketball experts give them credit for. Look some think the sky is falling just like in football but it's not just cloudy and the sun does shine from time to time . In my opinion just like football . A&T has just as much a chance to win any game as there opponents if they execute and play fundamental good basketball..Defense and Offense.
Is Campbell that bad maybe because they have lost to D2 programs and beat D1 programs . All I can say is A&T won this one and will move on to the next opponent.

Campbell has had a soft schedule, and has a better record.

Us? We are figuring some things out. We now have threats; inside ( Murphy, Robinson & Chit, mid-range (Shell, Mckie and the Hyphenated Named Brother who didn't play tonight., and the 3-ball( Glasper, Shell- and maybe Dukes once he gains more confidence). We are not too deep, and the defense is shaping up.

"For Real" I dont know. The Guards must play well every night. And a lot of mins.

I wouldn't call Navy, the Citadel, Virginia Tech, Davidson, St Francis, ECU a soft schedule.

Great win for the team and for Ross! I watched from the opening tip until the final buzzer, bracing myself for that invisible cap to be placed on our basket. Thank goodness for Murphy! Feels great to be in first place. Gotta build on this win.

ya'll will learn, but oleschool told ya'll so a long time ago. i'm not shocked that we beat campbell cuz as i've been saying all along, it takes "time" for a completely new roster coached by completely new coaches to form some chemistry among themselves as well as a "team identity".

i know i've said this before, but you just can't throw a bunch of basketball players on the court who have "never" played together before nor been coached by a new coaching staff but yet, expect them to look like a well oiled machine. again, it takes "time" to form that chemistry and establish a "team identity".

i didn't see the campbell game, but "normally" around this time of the year is when college teams have played enough games to have formed chemistry and a "team identity". i knew early on that coach ross could "coach", i stated exactly that after the very first game i saw our mbb team play. also, the guys who i felt before the season started would have major impact for us indeed are our best players so far. the only one i missed on was shell, but that's only because of his lack of "size". he has now "proved" that he can overcome his lack of height.

hate to say i told ya'll so, but i told ya'll so. now, i'm not gonna go overboard and predict a winning season. but i think we're well on our way to winning "at least" 5 or 6 games this season (just as i previously predicted), if not more...

This is all about coaching! We're starting to get a glimpse of how Ross wants these guys to play. After the game Ross didn't even look like he was happy. Almost a "this is what we expected " look. I like that demeanor.

Didn’t think we would lose to Campbell but I NEVER expected the dominance in which we did it. I’m not a Ross is a genius guy yet but I agree w neighborhoodsuperstar when he says it not that difficult to figure out if someone can coach or not. I believe he’s a solid coach. That’s not the same team that started the season - nor should it be. A coach makes progress. Regardless on how this season works out what I’ve seen so far make me optimistic and y’all know that’s hard for me. 😂
