Don't forget about the injuries he is dealing with. To my knowledge, he’s dealing with two injuries, both of whom are unproven commodities in Division One basketball. Face facts…We ARE NOT GOOD. I expect us to have a losing season. I only mentioned the injured players because they are unproven as you stated and they may endup being players you like which may change your grading on Coach Ross's recruiting abilities. |

These are all Ross's boys except 2-3 players. Ross is not going to drop many of these players. He is going to have to develop most of them if they don't decide to leave on their own. Ross decided on the balance between HS recruits and transfer portal players. Since conference play is about to start we will begin to truly learn how good of a HC Ross is. This is his 2nd go around in the CAA. By the way, so many were so comfortable in getting rid of last year's players so Coach Ross could build his own team the way he desired. We need to stop blaming these players so quickly. They did not give themselves scholarships. Then we must eat a 4-26 season & be the laughingstock of D1 basketball for the next 4 years. If "these are Ross' boys" & THIS is indicative of his ability to evaluate, recruit, & sign talent, WE ARE IN TROUBLE. Y u say 4 years? |

Face facts…We ARE NOT GOOD.  other than robinson, exactly who else on our roster is a so called "proven commodity" at the d1 level? this is not a "veteran laden" team. instead, this is a "very young" team, many of which do not have extensive "d1 experience". i think we need to lower "expectations" for this team "this season", especially when "on the road". personally, i think coach ross has established a respectable foundation of "young" players and if they stay put, next season should be a very "competitive" season if coach ross can pickup a couple of "bigs" along with another high volume "scorer" to take pressure off of glasper and shell. i didn't see yesterday's game, but i don't share the same "pessimism" as you... |
