I dont understand how Ross honestly thought this was a roster than could compete in the CAA. I don't think he did. He was behind the curb in recruiting and such... and then he had a major injury to their starting Center... |

Let's not assume that coach asked them to leave. |

Let's not assume that coach asked them to leave. I’m unsure if the 2 bigs from last season would have been value adds based upon the lack of production that we all witnessed & lamented. We were bad last year & worse this season. The good news is that there’s nowhere to go but up! |

wow! i totally disagree with the critics. i just finished watching the replay of the entire game. yes, we lack "talent and size". but overall, this team plays as a "team" instead of as "individuals", the total "opposite" of last year. i also saw "unselfish" team play, the total "opposite" of last year. i saw "ball movement", the total "opposite" of last year. i saw very good "team defense", the total opposite of last year. those things alone give me reason for "optimism" in the long term future as long as coach ross brings in better "talent and size" for next season.
heck, i'm just happy that we didn't embarrass ourselves tonight. i didn't expect us to win tonight and i didn't expect this game to be close. but the doggone game was "close" and we had a doggone chance to "win" tonight, mind you "without" a true post player!
i'm "encouraged", not "discouraged", because i can see that the team is well coached albeit we lack "talent and size". now, all i need to see with his next recruiting class is coach ross add the kind of "talent and size" to our roster that we need to be successful. but "so far" (pending his next recruiting class), i'm satisfied with coach ross...

Hopefully our other post player will be cleared once the semester ends. Will it make a difference? Our guys CAN’T shoot, man!!! I say let Thanos be the focus of our offense. He’s “Harry2” with more athleticism. At this point, what do we have to lose? #3 & #7 ain’t it. Those guys just played terrible; where did Ross and get those two from? He must have nobody else to play. |

Let's not assume that coach asked them to leave. He is on campus but has signed for Cumberlands. Injured at the moment and coach Ross made it clear he wasn’t wanted. |

I was courtside watching the game last night. A few things from me:
1) Central's offensive sets were 10x better than our offensive sets. This is why they won.
2) I clowned Fred Cleveland all game.....but the dude was instrumental in the win for Central. He did not make this game about him vs A&T. He made the game about doing whatever it took for his team to beat ours. The man had 10 ASSISTS......let that sink in for a minute. This was a dude who pulled at A&T everytime he got the ball. Moton has done a helluva job in remodelling Cleveland's game to make him a vital cog to their success.
3) Our team plays hard.....very hard. The effort is there. We just ain't good enough.
4) Point 3 leads to my next point.......Monte Ross better be careful not to be Jerry Eaves 2.0. Virtually every time I left Corbett during Eaves's regime, I recall seeing teams that really played hard.....but just weren't good enough. It's hard to dislike a team or a coach that plays hard. If they were winless and lazy, it would be easy to roast this team and demand wholesale changes. That's not the case here....these dudes play hard, but just ain't good enough. If this pattern extends through 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027, etc.....when do we say enough is enough. We let Eaves stay on way too long. It's still early in the Ross era, but he's gotta start getting some W's.
5) That was a winnable game last night.....which we didn't win. That concerns me....

It is a shame but Harry will be coming back to Greensboro to finish his outstanding courses so he can graduate. Basketball wise he is teaming up with a friend who is assistant coach at the University of Cumberlands in the NAIA. I wish the team all the best and will follow their progress. All the best.
