our football team came within "2 points" of going winless this season. we loss 10 out of 11 football gamees, most were not even close. a flood of players have entered the transfer portal, more than we've ever seen at a&t. the 2024 recruiting class so far will not address all of the needs this team must account for.
is there reason to be concerned about our football program?

Always space to be concerned about our program. The real question is, should we be panicked? I am not there at this time but as we have said continuously since the end of the season this year's recruiting cycle along with Brown's choice of OC is going to define where we are going.

Our saving grace right now is that we have a charismatic athletic director who is very visible and does a great job of reminding the fanbase about just what our overall plan is. There would be a lot of uncertainty and concern if not for his strong leadership.

I am not there at this time but as we have said continuously since the end of the season this year's recruiting cycle along with Brown's choice of OC is going to define where we are going. This about sums up where I am too....we are fans, we will always be concerned about the NCAT sports program. Especially if a team is not doing well. Aggie94 hit the nail on the head when he said the word "panicked". When you start throwing around "winless" seasons, or "flood" of players in the portal that's fire starting at it's best...particularly if it's not altogether accurate. The Aggies have been winless before, during those times we had all kinds of problems...but that was then and this is now. The circumstances behind the records and team performance are different. Even if losing games was the result. We have had a number of players enter the portal...but a "flood"...that's yet to be seen. Particularly when gauged against some of the numbers I've seen posted from other programs across the country. I think coaches are going to have to adjust to a time when upwards of 15-25% of a team may go into the portal for whatever reason. Exceptional talent looking to move up to a "bigger" stage...poor performers looking for a fresh start...not satisfied with the coaching staff, or impatient players looking for more game time. It's the wild, wild, west out there right now. We need to calm down...let the coach run the program, and support the team all while voicing our concerns. The admin, coaches, and staff aren't stupid...they know the Aggie Nation is restless and they have to make improvements to calm the noise.

The bad and sad thing about missing a individual like Hilton is some will not appreciate what Hilton has done until he's gone and this is not sarcasm . Hilton can right his own ticket with what he has done at T,the sad part is he loves A&T the institution even if some of us don't love him in return. Let Hilton leave and see what you get in his replacement π π€£ π.

There would be a lot of uncertainty and concern if not for his strong leadership. The supporters should be reminded of our overall goals and the direction of athletics. Especially in this ever changing environment. It looks like "some" CAA fans don't want to "guess whose coming to dinner".

funny how some folk complained when coach wash went 5-6, but are perfectly okay with coach brown going 1-10, just "2 points" short of going "winless". think about that, just "2 points" short of going "winless". plus, numerous transfer portal departures to boot. had coach wash went 1-10 just "2 points" short of going "winless", these same folk would be burning crosses in coach wash's front yard and bringing in uhaul trucks to run his azz outta town.
this is akin to trump supporters saying that january 6th was no big deal, just a bunch of innocent tourists at the capital that day. funny how these folk "down play" the turmoil that's going on with our football program, going 1-10 "2 points" short of going "winless" is of no serious concern to these folk, no need to be concerned about anything cuz a&t has been winless before. man, pub-leeeeze.
if the man goes winless next season, they will still be saying "be patient" for the next 3 or 4 years. i "despise" trump, but i must admit that i respect his ability to make tons of his people rock hard support him no matter what harm or damage he does to this country and/or other people. little did i know that dr. martin apparently has that same ability...

I remember the Blue and Gold M&M fundraiser that was presented as a legitimate campaign to raise funds for a Division 1 athletic department. It can always be worse than what we have now.

Washington's situation was different than Browns . Washington was familiar with the team talent and staff having been on staff for a number of years. So he knew the talent and his staff that He had on hand. Brown's situation was he had to evaluate the talent that He inherited and staff . You can't realistically compare Brown situation to Washington especially with only one season under his belt. I do not feel that anyone is giving a Brown a pass but they are evaluating him based on what he does this upcoming season and the talent both on staff and player wise . Coach Brown would have no excuses and 2024.

Let me say, if I haven't already, that I'm ALWAYS "concerned" about our football program...includes all of Athletics and A&T itself.
The reason is that things change ALL the time and no one knows how things will go.
That said, it takes a lot to get me to "the sky is falling", "the world is about to end", etc.

That said, it takes a lot to get me to "the sky is falling", "the world is about to end", etc. That's not necessarily something to be proud about. If there is a impending crisis, you need to be able to identify that quickly and make adjustments. Just sitting back and hoping things work out is not an effective crisis management strategy.
