So what would you do with Nate Poole in that scenario? I don’t understand. I'm not answering that explicitly here.

Then what would you do with current WR coach Nate Poole? I’d hate to be Coach Brown right now. However, the best football I’ve ever seen A&T play was when our OC coached the WRs and we had our own, dedicated QB Coach. That was arguably the best QB room in A&T History and probably should’ve been the standard moving forward. Which QB room are you talking about . If it was Broadway teams . You have to look at the talent that those QB's had at the receiver's , O line and RB positions, even with Washington we had receiver's that were outstanding along with a strong O line and RB play . You can't just make a Blanket statement like that without including all the components to make the quarterback successful. This team had a lot of individual talent but was not a talented team . And Coach Brown should have used all the tools on hand ,it's that simple. Stop deflecting .

Ok, so you’ll just advocate for his firing in private, behind his back, instead of just having the courage to say in public what you truly believe. What’s crazy is that you guys actually believe that is the honorable thing to do.

We have a full-time qb coach. He’s also the oc. He should’ve never been the QB Coach. He coaches WRs. What was he at Colgate when he was oc?

1-10 and at the bottom in a number of categories.
Bout 15 years removed from setting a record in futility.
That’s a problem. That points to systemic issues that I feel we hoped Coach Brown could help address and correct. But if he allowed Hooker to be buried all season even after we showed how absolutely terrible we are on offense, the anger is warranted.

We pull our hair out over the condition of our playing field. Not sure why having a negative reaction about a horrible football season would be such a surprise to you.

Also, I think you mentioned in another thread about building infrastructure if we knew the goal was to be in the CAA- another valid point. Same stuff is happening with MBB. And I hope we are not hiring the respectable hire. This athletic department expects to stuff happen because we are here without the preparation necessary for us to be successful. I look at what UNCG is doing in basketball and what the birds have done in football- we have no excuses.

We have witnessed the team being energized when another QB steps in and moves the offense down the field giving the team hope. White did it replacing Yaeger, Eli did it replacing White, and Hooker just did it replacing Eli. The players will cheer for anyone behind center that possibly could produce a win, especially the last game of the season. So why wait to the last game and last quarter of the season to put the young Hooker in the game ? When you had all season with the team struggling at the QB position to give Hooker his shot . I knew something was wrong when I brought up Hooker's name in the UAB game and all I got was innuendos and excuses to why Hooker was not on the field..i.e he must not be good enough, he must be terrible in practice, but it was mostly crickets from the individual insiders that supposedly know all about Aggie football. It was strange to me that even at the press conference no one even bought up Hooker's Name or even inquired why he was not getting any run after the first few games with our Quarterbacks Struggling The Way They Were. Hell no one even mentioned Hooker's name after the central game. I wish I knew our Drunk Uncle because I would have contacted him and asked him to inquire about Hooker 😆. I bet he would have got answers. Young Hooker got Screwed and a lot of you guys are coming up with the same Innuendos and BS that you repeated earlier at the beginning of the season. That's the saddest part about young Hooker's situation to me . SMIB RESPECT 🙏 My comment was "only" addressing the poster's statement regarding player's looking energized on the sideline when Hooker was inserted in the lineup and the team started moving the ball. When a team is losing or having a down season, players look for anything to stop the bleeding or to motivate thing. You could have put Mr. SMITH at QB in the 3rd quarter of the 6th game of the season and they may have gotten excited if he started to move the team down the field. Kids want to win is the point. Other points not made in my previous post are that if the players genuinely liked Hooker then they could be cheering the walk-on for getting in the the 1st time this season and doing well. We see this in basketball all the time when in a blowout they clear the bench and a player that does not play much scores. The bench and crowd go wild. A 3rd point is that the players knew he was wrong treated by the staff (your point) and was "excited" for him even if he had not played well. They wanted a happy ending of the season for the young man. Who knows, some may have inside information of his plans after the season. None of the above was focused "directly" on Hooker's ability or an explanation of why Coach Brown made a decision to play him in the 4th quarter.

When someone would ask Coach Brown why he was not playing Hooker he would always say that he starts who performed best in practice that week. Damn, Hooker must have looked awfully bad in practice considering how the qb's that were starting performed in games. It is mighty strange that he waited to the last damn game to play him. Mighty suspicious. Probably hoping he would be a bust so fans would quit asking about him. Easy deflection by any HC. As the 4th string QB, how many snaps do you think Hooker got with the 1st team offense each week? Answer is probably zero, therefore Hooker did not "technically" outplay the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd string QBs at practice. You can't look terrible if you had zero snaps with the 1st team offense. 😃. All the QBs participate in the QB and WR drills with their respective position coaches. Not all take snaps with the offense during practice. Coach knew what he was doing when that question was asked. The 2nd string QB barely gets many snaps with the 1st offense during each week.
