I wasnt surprised last night because of our youth. But here's what i know. The season starts in the summer. Good programs take summer workouts seriously, and I'm not sure that's the case with us. Also, we need to stop skirting around the issue that as you move up in conferences, kids want to know 3 things. Where we play, Where I am living, and how much money am i getting. They don't know or care too much about Aggie Pride or GHOE. We have to sell the program, not the school. Our budget is at the bottom of the conference, and as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. In response to the question as why we have so many guards, the answer is simple. Guards will play for free just to get in school, in an effort to play their way out the next yr for more money. So the better the freshman play, the less likely they are to come back, and the ones not playing will more than likely go down a level to get playing time.

Don't sleep on Baseball. I have to give Coach Hall credit...He brought in some players, especially pitching. He also signed a very impressive '24 class, with an eye on pitching and hitters with some pretty good NC kids in the class. Football and basketball could take a cue from Ben. That is the reason I didn't reply to your back yard statement been down that road . I have been saying the same things for years about how A&T let's players in their own back yard get away to other program ,and the ones want to complete for Tee only or even being treated as walk on talent and not given a fair equal opportunity to complete..i.e Hooker in the spring game was just as effective as Eli and more effective then Yeager but has not seen the field this season . Some think that the high school athletes and parents don't see how local kids are ignored or treated and then wonder why they end up at Howard,Richmond, Hampton, Elon, Campbell or any program not A&T . I made the same quote about our back yard and received all type of excuses and BS 😆 🤣 😂. You are correct A&T should control the Greensboro try and region for FCS Talent ,but we don't. the fact that hooker has not seen the field all season long is "problematic", especially considering how much we've struggled at the qb position. but regarding local recruiting? well, kids nowadays often wanna get "away from home" to go to college. i mean, don't ya'll think hampton and nsu are saying the same things about kj white and blizzard since they're both from the tidewater area? i agree that we should recruit locally, and we have recruited locally over the years. however, recruiting kids to "stay home" ain't as easy as it seems. i mean, my problem is that local kids like hicks were "highly recruited" from schools all around the country, but we managed to sign him at a&t. yet, dude has not seen the field all friggin' season long! that's problematic too! especially since kids can play a game or two as a true freshman without having to burn their redshirt. shoot, ya'll talkin' bout recruiting locally, which i totally 100% agree with? but heck, i'm worried about keeping the local recruits on our team that we already have, they need "playing time"...
