With the product that we put out on the field week after week. I am hopeful that next week's homecoming game against Towson University, we will have a crowded sideline full of 2024 recruits.

Did we have a lot of recruits on campus today?

During the game it wasn't noticeable from what I could see. Not sure if they were housed somewhere else.

I know Brown hinted that the Portal wasn't going to be his "go to" for program building...but I see no alternative in the short term. He's just got too many gaps to fill. and like bigpeete1 said, it take time to develop high school players. He doesn't have that type of time.

There is a section (about the 20 yd line near the horse shoe) where recruits and their families sit. I'm not so sure many/any get on the sideline during the games.

A&T needs to invest hard in the portal. Recruits take time to develope we need imediate help Portal players need to be developed also, unless you're lucky enough to get a plug and play talent with significant playing time out of the portal . Even then portal players still have to be coached and developed, even though they are talented .

Your better of with High School and JOCO talent . If other CAA programs can develop and play True Freshman, A&T should be able to do the same .

I will say coach is walking a slippery slope. Hopefully, he hasn't lost his team because, offensively they are just not good at this point in the season. You can only hope that it doesn't hurt our team's head-space because, if it has, I will suspect that we will see a lot of transfers leaving.

Atleast I believe that is what ohsixrain ment.

We'll see. I mean if they're not buying into what he's selling then they should probably look elsewhere.
Personally, Coach Brown is my type of coach. The oc... not so much. But I gravitate towards the measured maturity he shows as opposed to being some rah rah dude. That being typed, I'm old.
Hopefully he can sell ELITE student-athletes on the advantages of coming to T, and the student-athletes we have recognize their potential to be ELITE under Coach Brown.
A lot of coaches can sell you on a dream. Coach Brown appears to be extremely serious about what his players are going to do after they graduate. There's two parts there. He is serious about them graduating and he is serious about them having the skills and resume to do something. To tie it back to the topic, he appears to want his players to be able to come back to GHOE happy, healthy, and highly compensated. I guess any coach wants that, but it's like it emanates off Coach Brown with every fiber of his being.

Finally, someone on this site has something to write or type that indicates he understands what Brown is trying to accomplish. It is not going to happen overnight. But, Coach Brown has the right attitude and experience to right this sinking ship.
