I m just still shocked that Elon didn't pick up 3rd down conversion and still won a game. Granted they were 3 for 3 on 4th down and had a high first down play. I wonder if I can't find that in a record books or something.

Just think how bad the outcome would have been had Elon converted more 3rd downs!

I can stand down a bit and give the defense some credit for this...I mean, we knew we would have struggles defensively because the defensive line is light. I believe the defense will be good next year and there after but, our offense smells offensive and they have further to go than the defense.

You can tell he has his handprints on the defense and if you were at the game you could see him having constant communication with coach JZ, but he seems completely hands off when it comes to the offense which is the major weakness on the team. Idk what goes on during the week but I would like to see him having more involved in the offensive huddles at least. The offense needs immediate attention.

Now, we just need the offense to possess the ball longer for that to really materialize into 6 points instead of 3.

Coach Brown is a defensive minded coach who isn't used to doing that under Coach London. It appears with London, he allowed his coordinators autonomy to scheme and call things as they fit. And during his stint at W&M, those coordinators would study the heck out of their opponents. I can see that a little here. Of course, W&M had the players to execute the gameplan. 😩

The offense is on life support and all hands on deck may need to be the approach. I know a lot of these kids are not Brown's and Young's recruits so the learning of the offense may need more instruction. The bye week couldn't have come at a better time.
