Central has an inferiority complex....it's obvious. Trei Oliver went to Central; he's now their head coach. It's part of his DNA to talk isth about A&T. I get it. I haven't lost one second of sleep by what Oliver said. Big deal......What makes me uncomfortable is what we have been doing over these past few weeks. Folks can talk about the dearth of talent we have....but c'mon, we have enough talent at the QB and receiver positions to average more than 30+ passing yards a game.
There was nothing strikingly inflammatory Coach Brown said.......but he lost. If it makes you feel better to call your major rival a "little old school"....great - have at it. That little old school up the road has now beaten us twice, with neither game being competitive for 60 total minutes.
We got another little old school up the road we're playing this weekend (Elon). There ain't no way their coaching staff doesn't smell blood when they study our play over this year. I guarantee you, Elon is gonna try to embarass us while we likely will have as many (if not more) fans at Rhodes Stadium than they do. Again, Elon is another little old school down the road. Hell, they're more littler (ebonics) than Central....and let's not forget about another little old school down in Buis Creek that's on our schedule too.
Coach Brown has a good number of little ole schools down the road that don't fear him or even respect what he's putting forth on the field. I don't care how subpar the talent may be; it is his responsibility to put the best possible product out there. Right now, I don't see it from him and his staff.
I'll be at Rhodes Stadium this week in my gold pulling for the Aggies. I anticipate us losing, but I gotta see some improvement from this squad, especially on the offensive side of the ball....especially when it comes to the passing game. You can't win when an essential element of today's college football football is this abysmal....
There are a lot of little schools around us that are swimming around like little fish.....and I ain't talking goldfish. I'm talking piranas....looking to collectively devour us. I'm not looking at the win-loss record this year....Coach Brown has to show me he knows what he's doing. Loquacious press conferences and cute tweets don't cut it for me.
