This is an article I ran across today by "Clutch Point." I had seen Coach Oliver's comments on YouTube, earlier. It's obvious just beating us wasn't enough for him. Here's excerpts from the "Clutch Point" article. "Although the Aggie-Eagle classic is over and his team won 30-16, North Carolina Central head football coach Trei Oliver still has some choice words to say about North Carolina A&T that is sure to irritate Aggie fans around the nation. Per a clip by Stephen J. Gaither of HBCU Gameday, Trei Oliver decided to have a Suge Knight at the 1995 Source Awards moment about North Carolina A&T’s attendance since moving on from the MEAC in 2020. “With what you saw Saturday night in that stadium, they’re not gonna have crowds like that except for homecoming. You know, so if you wanna play in the type of environment like that. If you want to come play in classics…Circle City, Magic City…whatever the case may be, the SWAC and the MEAC are where you need to be.”Oliver’s comments play on a contentious discussion in the HBCU community about teams leaving historically black conferences like the SWAC, MEAC, CIAA, SIAC, and GCAC to play in predominately white conferences. Many HBCU alumni feel a sense of betrayal and that the programs decided to leave. This is all about recruiting imo. Those shots by that coach from that school down 85 are sentiments he's saying in kids homes when he recruits against us. It's cool, he won't have the safety net of a Davius Richard next year.

Wow! The same applies to NCCU. Other than the Aggies, Winston and that so called homecoming
they don't bring in the crowds for that small stadium. Good try Coach Oliver.

Now he gets it, LOL. He just had to get a taste of it. Now he understands the rivalry. As far as I'm concerned, that lil school down 85 kicked his big ole azz on Saturday. Coach Brown needs to sit down somewhere and learn how to be a better head coach when it matters......THIS PAST SATURDAY FOR EXAMPLE. I'm actually trippin' off of the Aggie trophies he's displaying......THAT HE HAD NO PART IN ACHIEVING. I'm serious.....I'm tired of him talking. I'm more interested in what he DOES, not what he SAYS. |

A few schlorship athletes maybe looking for a new program in the portal and it may not be their own choice ,if things don't turn around . Alot of these schlorship players may not realize that they are being evaluated as the season progresses, even the starters Brown may decide to do some spring cleaning to make room for grad transfers, portal and priority recruits if things do turn around and they start looking like College Football players . |
