no one emphasizes wearing "gold" anymore, what happened? if my memory serves me correctly, i believe the emphasis on wearing "gold" started during the dee todd era as our ad which was roughly 20 years ago. it picked up steam over the years but suddenly "disappeared". what happened?
do we no longer promote wearing "gold"?

Keith McCluney left. He was the visionary behind it. It was called Solid Gold and based on a similar fan campaign at Clemson called Solid Orange.
Stuff like that is rarely organic. You need a paid staff member to work behind the scenes to make it possible.

yeah, during the "gold" campaign i went out and bought all of this "gold" aggie apparel. well, at least it won't go to waste cuz i can still wear it. i have 4 "authentic" aggie football jerseys, 1 navy blue (my favorite), 1 white, and 2 gold jerseys. bought all of 'em online but can't remember the website...

Oh nooooooooooo, what did they do with their inventory, I always wanted the white basketball shorts circa late 2000's, but didn't want to drop $100. Now wish I had there's still some authentic stuff out there but you'd have to do a search to find it. And yes, you're correct, i had to drop over $100 bucks for each of my jerseys but since they're "authentic", it was worth it. one of my gold jerseys still has a small blood stain on it and i luv it! its like a "badge of honor"... |

btw, just for the record, i did see a good number of alums wearing "gold" last weekend. i actually captured the video on my phone of our kickoff return that went the distance for a td...
