I thought they voted on an actual winner during one of the HONDA events a couple of years ago.

I thought they voted on an actual winner during one of the HONDA events a couple of years ago. I think the difference here is this will incorporate a ranking system during the football season issued bi-monthly to determine the winner instead of an one-off event. Additionally, I don't think every school was in invited to Honda. It appears that any school can submit video performances to the "portal" weekly. |

I like how ESPN's The Undefeated did their rankings... Band Judging Criteria: - Drum Major: Conducting, baton carriage, utilization of space, marching technique, accuracy and definition, style, and discipline. - Drill and Design: Intervals and spacing; creativity; marching style; precision in timing, definition of patterns, showmanship, instrument carriage and showmanship. - Musicality: Tone, intonation, balance, technique, consistency of style, interpretation and musical effect. - Percussion: Rudimental excellence, general appearance, showmanship, technique/stick control, drill execution, style consistency and discipline. - Others: Dance/flag routine, baton/flag carriage, utilization of space, marching/strut technique, uniform, style and more. espnpressroom.com/us/press-releases/2017/10/espns-undefeated-launches-hbcu-band-rankings/ |

Well…here we go. Will the B&GMM pull out Magic Tricks, or more Quick change uniforms by Golden Delights. Or maybe some Band will try to bring in Beyonce.
In any case, it starts Saturday …and spurred on by NCCU…Man…what a time!
