dayum! thought we had already stopped the bleeding... You never stop the bleeding š you can only slow it down . Football and Basketball are not the only sports that the TP has an effect on . That is how NCAA athletes roll now . Especially at the lower levels..i.e we develop and they take . Don't get it twisted in the long run we will gain more then we lose in the long game . That is something that we have to learn . I hate losing Hayles and appreciate all of his accomplishments but in saying that good luck and he can kick rocks as far as I'm concerned. Because we will not die. Next man or woman up.

As I said in another forum, if the P-5 schools canāt sign them out of high school, they will just go out and buy them later from other colleges using NIL money.
Thatās just the way of collegiate athletics nowadays.

They know they canāt sign them all out of high school or Jr. college. They gonna take the best outta high school, and any cream that raises to the top at lower divisions. We need to get the kids they miss or canāt takeā¦and the ones that didnāt pan out on their rostersā¦we should also be looking to take the best of the D2 talent that proves itself on the field. Itās a whole new recruiting ballgame.

To me the impact in track will be much greater than in say football. Fla knows they are getting the 6th best 400M Guy in the nation. Thus every time they ( P5 school) get an athlete h/she will be a star who has beaten the athletes in the SEC or other P5 conferences. Not so with FB players. Virginia Tech hopes Tuten will be as good same for WF and ECU.with Roberts and King. I doubt if any track guys running 48/400 turn into 45 types after leaving a P5 school . However, many p5 kids that are 6-5 315 and are sitting behind another dude 6-6 309 may find playing time and develop into an NFL prospect. From where I sit , as soon as we develop a nationally( able to be an All American) competitive athlete , he or she will be gone . As someone said that is the new reality. . We just need to be CAA good and perhaps have athletes slip up on someone as fr or soph ( before they leave). Now an Indoor facility and some well placed $$$ could change that...

Following the recent AA Supreme Court ruling, this one just hitās different! The symbolism of the state of Florida and anti woke BS.
If you can run and jump come on in, otherwise stay the Eff out!

Now we need to always look to have bodies at the Nationals. No quality HC wants to be Just conference good or regional good ,Nationals is always the focus. The thing I love about Track is a runner can drop time in a short time under the right coaching..i.e 48 to 46 to low 45 . Yes it would be great to have a runner walk in running high 45's consistently (not PR,only shows potential) but those are rare athletes even at P5 programs. It's about recruiting development and getting bodies to the Nationals. Hayles developed into an outstanding runner and others can be developed the say way it's the nature of the sport š . If they stay fine if not others will follow . Hell a lot was bent out of shape when Ross Jr walked and A&T continued to click . Your making this more than it is š . Also having and indoor facility would be nice but it wouldn't make a difference if a athlete decides to leave because that's on the individual.
