I believe it has to do with the handling of exceptional children. I believe a suit was brought by the parents of students considered unnecessarily restrained in their classrooms. The particulars of the case I can't recall. You may be able to find the information about the case or cases in old newspapers.

Why is this significant? What happened? I thought there might be a couple of educators on the message board that might find this interesting. If exceptional students don't get their needs met it can cost. |
