NCA&T launches pilot program to offer fresh produce at half the price for SNAP benefit participants GREENSBORO, N.C. — A new pilot program by a team at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is making half-priced food boxes through July 29. The Fresh & Local Nutrition Incentive Program will be available to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants weekly, according to organizers. The event is happening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday through July 29, with the exception of May 13, June 17 and July 1.
