We may have to put together a booster NIL fund. I think some softball players have a NIL fund. Like a go fund me. It's wild out there!

Why do people feel losing so many key players may be a good thing for A&T and the new coach? It is extremely difficult to recruit in this new era. Are we going to be patience enough to allow the new coach to build his team from scratch? Kam, Powell, Horton, and Watson scored 71% of our avg. total ppg (50.3 / 70.8)x100. No coach should ever be put in a position to replace that much point production. Their production is even better than calculated because it doesn't take into account any assists that led to points by teammates. How quickly we forget that we finished 7th instead of the predicted 11th with injuries and an interim coach. Who is the leadership going to come from on the court? I know you are going to say we did not have much to start with, but maybe the new coach could have fixed that easier with a more veteran player. In the past 5-10 years, what is the best recruiting class a coach has brought in (# of players and overall performance) and how did the team do? You need depth and experience to succeed in this and any other conference. Since players are abandoning the ship and some don't see a problem with it, what if Morrice or Felton decide to leave because this was not what they signed up for? Did that not just happen to Jackson State in football? Losing too many players is never good in my opinion. Lastly, in my opinion we should have named a head coach 7 to 10 days after our last games, so he could have talked to some of these kids before they made their decision. We had an entire season. Players these days have so many people telling them what to do that they at times don't know who to trust, especially when it comes to NIL and transfer. I CONCUR, We have to get better at the business, the rule of the land is nil! We talk ELITE, PUSH WINNING CHAMPIONSHIPS! Hello it has a price. When I played. we didn't have a budget, back then you could sale blood to have some pocket change. The thoughts of these kids is not wrong, it's the business at hand. LEAD FOLLOW ARE GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY! |

I hope they are joking. Current coach needs to fix this and another reason why we should have had a new coach in place. A&T could have decided on whether to promote Coach Shumpert to head coach within 3 days of season end, if fairness to him was a concern.

A&T could have decided on whether to promote Coach Shumpert to head coach within 3 days of season end, if fairness to him was a concern. Dude you are reading to far into things and making a false narrative. This tweet is not about the school, it’s more or less about people on social media turning on him since he posted stuff about Deion or transferring. His statement is about people saying he isn’t a high character kid. If you follow Powell you know his tweets have been about money, nothing negative about the school. Let’s not make this into something that isn’t there. Honestly, it was rumored about 2 months ago that Powell and Watson were hitting the portal. Maybe Kam too but his stock has since dropped. Don’t blame this on A&T blame it on NIL. It’s more important that administration makes the right hire versus rushing to keep a kid that may leave anyway. FDU coach wasn’t hired until may of 2022… |

This is what will hold us back from becoming a mid major power. If a kid has a decent season you can kiss his @zz good bye. It's almost useless to recruit high school kids. Next coach must be proficient at making the portal work in his favor. I think you’re dead on-point. And his tweet mentioned MONEY. If Duncan’s decision was based on his inability to land a six-figure NIL deal, and IF that’s most players’ mindset nowadays, we’ll see a lot of players flowing in-and-out of here. But Saadman said he knows his family personally and that old report about Powell getting a huge NIL deal before even arriving at A&T was legit. SMH. |

This is what happens when you don't have a real coaching staff in place for an entire season. I personally would be surprised to see any current A&T men's basketball players return for the 2023-24 season.
They basically had to develop themselves on their own this past year.

All this is based on money for Watson, woods and Powell. This will be woods and Watson’s 3rd transfer, honestly I am happy they are leaving! Good kids but aren’t team players…gives the new coach opportunity to instill his system without resistance. Watson is an A&T graduate though!!!!Aggie Pride |

If it had been real, I expected a coach as a leader or mentor to address it. My bad. |
