Maybe he was discriminated against at Howard...I believe he probably was. I hope he wins the lawsuit! People in general don't like ideas that differ from group think. See how black republicans are treated by black democrats... HBCUs being inclusive isn't new. Let's not promote discrimination at HBCUs please.

If he came in challenging the other students views then they wuold have responded negatively. Just like folks attack Deion for not thinking like them or Ed Reed.

Is that even the same guy?
Having attended HUSL, I can tell you during my time we had instructors who challenged the pro-Black status quo and were still instructing on campus. People might get upset but that was about it. There was also a white dude in my class and section that was expelled like two weeks after classes. He was stalking a classmate and some other stuff too.
If dude got flat expelled from Howard, he earned it. He'll probably get some settlement money for being a dick too. Damn shame. The head of diversity recruiting named in the article was a year behind me at HUSL and was one of the most welcoming, open, nicest guys you could ever hope to meet. He recently announced he was taking a new gig which I thought was strange because working at the law school was his dream job.
But I'm not sure this dude is the same guy.
Imo when you show up with an attitude of "prove me wrong" you are stating that you are not interested in actually being proven wrong. You just want to argue and browbeat and your mind is completely made up. I would engage him by simply stating as much and letting him know if he wanted to be proven wrong then carry his a$$ to the library and do his own scholarly research. The fact that he failed to do so and instead printed out a table covering and sat at a random hbcu shows he is not serious about learning.

In reading the article he took a stance, made some insensitive statements during conversations, about police brutality during the plethora of video's showing blackmen being beaten or shot even when they complied or attempted to comply. Several of my former Aggie classmates(Black), hold the Newmans view to police brutality(Blackmen don't or didn't comply to officers commands). In our circle of friends they received backlash, as to the fact that they were watching and listening to the video, the officers commands were clearly bewildering as was their postures. That wasn't discrimination.

and right in front of the reflection pool 🥴 This is a suttle reverse enactment of The A&T Four. They sat at the counter and said America is RACIST.

Blanket statements like that are like a holes everybody has one. Reasoning and understanding is not a monolithic thought process with the process of individual choice and fluidity . Don't make this bigger than it is but don't down play it either.
