Y’all I need help understanding this. We got 5 recruits w no coach at all. We got 7 with one, none rated far as I can tell, and we only fought d2 schools to get ones we got. Everyone is happy so I’m not trying to be Debbie downer but I’m not excited at all. Am I missing something? Are we happy because it could’ve been worse because we just got a coach or are we happy because we legitimately think this is a good class. I think we should have kept the mykrinos dude. If they could get 5 people to sign during mass exodus and no coach imagine what they could have done w a coach I’m just happy we got through the day with some signees. We did the research a few years ago and only about one third of A&T recruits have become contributors to the two deep roster by their junior year. So if that holds true only four of these will make an impact. Anything better than that is gravy.

Aggie Swag I did notice that, but the transfer portal has really messed up the landscape of recruiting especially for high school kids. The kids we signed really may be D1 caliber kids. While I’m not “blown away” by the class, it’s a few things I can take away.
1. We are not done yet , I think there are a few more guys that we will get and some will be steals. 2. There are some good kids we signed (Blizzard, White, Divers, Turner) I’m really excited about. I think they will make some noise 3. Don’t get caught up in stars and rankings. The truth will come out when they put the ball down 4. We added some size on the O-line

He chose ECU He chose Howard He hasn’t made a choice He chose Citadel A&T is offering kids aren’t choosing us… 3 out of 4 chose to go out of state!!!! It’s a trend Seems like you want a form of socialism…giving out scholarships to undeserving kids because that are from NC

Georgia & 757 Agricultural & Technical State University. In-state (NC) football prospects need not apply. I would love to see more NC talent find it’s way to Aggie land…and we have made plenty of offers…that said we can’t force kids to sign. Some kids want to get away from home and experience different places. If Georgia kids and Virginia kid are signing with us, that means they are also leaving home to…that’s just the game. What’s important is we get the talent we need. Even the FBS programs in the state have a hard time keeping some 4 and 5 star kids in NC…so they get kids from other states.

I don't know some will realize, and this goes for all schools not just HBCUS, local kids may just not want to attend their neighborhood or in state school.
I could have easily gone to Norfolk State or Hampton, as they were both within 20 minutes of my house. At thar time they could have said they would just hand me a degree and I still would go to T. I spent so much time on their campuses for games and even some educational stuff through school system. I just didn't want to be so close to home, I wanted to, as King Joffrey Joffer would say "soar my royal oats", lol just kidding.
More seriously, our staff will continue to evaluate and offer talent as they see fit in NC and abroad. Shoot, im sure our signees have offers from their local universities, and theirs fan sound like some of yall, "GA/SC/VA guys need not apply."
For most if not all kids, college is their first opportunity to spend and extended period of time away from home and mommy and daddy, and on their on. Sometimes going to another may factor into that decision.

NC (7) has more FBS schools than GA (4) but GA has more talented players… The state of NC had 0 five stars and 16 four star players and 10 signed with schools out state. The state of GA had 2 five stars and 45 four star players…43 signed out of state including both 5 star players. 247sports.com/Season/2023-Football/CompositeRecruitRankings/?InstitutionGroup=HighSchool/&State=GA

It’s become the reality and I believe we can charge in state tuition for scholarship kids
If it wasn’t for legacy I definitely would have chose another school. I had no desire to stay at home. I’m glad I did but my mentality as 17 year old people were going to respect me more or more clout to say I was going out of state or at least some miles from where I live.
Someone from Georgia is going to be like “he’s going to NC to go to school” sounds a lot better than them going to Mercer or Kennesaw St. Grab talent where you can get it. It’s a new world the market is Global.

Georgia & 757 Agricultural & Technical State University. In-state (NC) football prospects need not apply. I most certainly have and have traveled roads that I dare say some of you have not as a former Aggie Student-Athlete, contributor, and educator who TRIES to steer student-athletes to our fine alma mater only for them to thumb their noses at them to go out of state and find a lesser talented dude who doesn’t work out and winds up laboring on the scout team or transferring. So to answer your question and even answer it with a bonus: Yes, and given my experience and effort, I am uniquely qualified to talk s**t. What about you? instagram.com/hdlassiter?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=Is this you?? Have you ever lived outside the state of NC?

I've only lived in NC 7 years out of my life, I have zero emotional ties to the state or its athletes.

i'm not too concerned with this overall class. its as good as i could've expected given how little time coach brown and his incomplete staff had to recruit. like i've stated previously, my 2 favorite recruits in this class are blizzard and white, and i don't care if they don't have any stars.
blizzard and white are straight up "studs" in my opinion. granted, they were recruited by the previous staff which makes sense cuz you can't start recruiting kids in january and expect them to sign within a matter of a few weeks. i'm sure that the previous staff had been on top of blizzard and white much longer than a few weeks.
so i'm cool with this class. its not the best class in the world, but i didn't expect it to be, nor should anybody else. now we're gonna find out how well coach brown and his staff can "develop" talent. broadway and washington did a tremendous job of developing kids that no one else on the d1 level wanted outta high school.
somebody already listed guys like cohen and tuten who didn't have any stars outta high school. but also 2 of our nfl players also didn't have any stars coming outta high school including darryl johnson (bam) and mr. big stuff, brandon parker. i don't recall mccain having any stars either, but i could be wrong.
so i wouldn't get too caught up on the lack of star ratings. my focus is gonna be on how well coach brown and his staff "develops" the talent that they have. and again, i don't care that rivals or 247 didn't rate blizzard or white with stars. video don't lie, blizzard and white are "studs".
blizzard has the "potential" to be just as good as tuten was, if not better. and i can't wait to see how white's 80% plus completion rate translates at the fcs level...

Georgia & 757 Agricultural & Technical State University. In-state (NC) football prospects need not apply. Historically GA and 757 have been great pipelines for many football programs. I'm not mad at this at all. I want the best players wherever they come from. The portal has opened doors to high school kids all over.
