Feb. 17th is the now the date to vote to approve the master plan and begin the real work of making it all happen. It is indeed ambitious but very doable.

Official vote to approve the plan is on February 17th. They also went over the campus plan which included the purchasing of 160 homes to make room for campus expansion (100 have already been purchased). Multiple parking decks, greenspace for the students and dorm renovations.
In the next 15 years, the campus will look completely different.

I WAS genuinely excited about seeing the final presentation, until 77 started posting other CAA facilities. LOL

Three practice fields for football and the band
Dedicated Soccer field
Golf practice facility

I WAS genuinely excited about seeing the final presentation, until 77 started posting other CAA facilities. LOL Whatcha talkin bout Willis! This Master Plan shows that We understand the needs. Our problem is We don't have the mega donors all the other schools have in triplicate. 2038 and $200 million is a long ways away! Wait until I publish my report on athletic endowments! LOL |

So according to the presentation, the new convocation center is going to go in the same space that the Band facility is going? So 8 -10 years from now we are going to be in the same discussion about where to house the band again? Maybe I missed something...

If anything, the convocation center will be built where those infamous Army Barracks/Riverwalk apts sit. |

I always though that band room was moving back towards campus. |

I thought it was going to be where Corbett and Moore currently sit. At one point one of the options was to connect the new arena to Corbett and use Corbett for practice courts. It's all probably still wet clay given that a new convocation center will be the most expensive thing in the plan. |
