Hilton pretty much said agreements were made with Coach Brown to get things to where he wants them to be competitive in the CAA. And then said a study will be finished at end of month on how to proceed. The next thing someone brings up is NCCU. Who from a facalities standpoint is horrible. Basically he said we got our tails whipped by NCCU cause they spend a million more on football than we do I don't understand how those things mean there's no trust. Because no matter what Hilton or Martin says it's questioned. Do they owe explanations to the fanbase and updates yes. Are they the best at communicating No. But to make it seem like because NCCU spends a million more in football that the Chancellor/ AD aren't doing what's in the best interests of A&T is wild to me

The university is now being ran like a business, in a business the CEO doesn’t tell employees or customers every detail. It’s hard for some of the alums to adjust to the new way of doing business.

You guys are so phony, yall cant even remember your own talking points. No talking point and not phony. Just believe in giving someone benefit of the doubt until they show me otherwise. Im just amazed how our fan base questions any and everything that A&T does. Espically when majority of their previous decisions have been beneficial. (In and outside of athletics.) And today was another example of that. Someone mad and doesn't like the change that's taking place. Now we are measuring our football success to what NCCU does? Come on. It's getting to a weird place

We all are here talking about a question...I get it if the question is irrelevant. I didn't see it as an irrelevant question because, he was basing his question on a peer institution that just so happen to beat us by the way. Was he long winded, sure but, nothing wrong with his question. I'll tell you this much...when our leadership gets to the point where it feels it doesn't have to answer the peons of the world questions, it's time to start looking for new leadership. You cannot call yourself being transparent on one hand and on the other don't want to answer the hard questions for whatever reason.

Some churches haven’t changed and those are the ones struggling and losing members. People are comfortable and change scares them…it’s natural.

Here's the thing. Chancellor Martin and Earl Hilton wanted to be questioned and held accountable today (by sane people).
They organized this press conference so that the non-partisan media could fire away and give them an opportunity to show their competence, put out information to address fan concerns and reshape the narrative.
It was a bold move and ultimately successful.
They were prepared for our questions and had facts & figures to support their statements. You guys are the only ones who don't understand the value of strong oversight and transparency.
Asking tough questions in not a bad thing. Neither is demanding that your leaders remain transparent.
Chancellor Martin even mentioned the word transparency during his remarks today. He knows that is a part of his job that he can improve in.
If our leaders operated strictly in a need-to-know bubble, like some of you guys say you prefer, events like today would have never taken place. The clarity and direction that we got from today's press conference would not exist. The reason you guys are energized today is because our leaders communicated effectively and were transparent.
Today was a case study in excellent public relations.
This is not how we've always done things in the past, but it needs to be the standard going forward.

i'm taking a "wait and see" posture cuz press conferences don't really prove anything. heck, lee fobbs said all of the right things too when he got our job. i recall folk saying at the time that he'd be a great hire because of his experience as an assistant coach at texas a&m but had never been a head coach before. well, we all know how that story ended.
so welcome to aggieland mr. brown, the ball is now in your court. actions speak louder than words, i'll be impressed by "successful actions". so i'm hoping for the best. good luck, sir. you have a very difficult job ahead of you...

Maaaannnn sheeeeiiiittt. I literally stopped donating the day he who shall not be named on this website was hired. He had a loooong history of coaching with losing programs, had no head coach OR coordinator experience, and was hired to be head coach and coordinator. Plus he’d been fired by Texas A&M before we hired him 😂. And he was hired by dare I say an incompetent administration.
I can sorta see the comparison, but there are so many differences. I do get and agree with the “wait and see” approach though.
