that's why folk are saying before you fire a head coach, you should already have a "plan" and a short list of candidates in mind... They may have a plan, but it's a Need To Know one . Remember Cy Alexander . As someone stated sometime ago " low level donors and fans don't need to know " 😆 Like I said before " Crap like that can become habit forming . For me it's funny because people are acting like that this is something new , it's not . This has been going on before Broadway retired with both of are Revenue producing Sports when it comes to making hires.

If they want more money for housing the AD has to do that for all sports.... 350 athletes x $$$ = $1M annually I think it had to do with the way the students had to sign up for housing. I think some kids missed the sign up date. We had student athletes without housing. They were sleeping on teammates couches. Some also missed the sign up for meal plans also. I understand there is a deadline. I am not sure if the kids did just missed the email or received them late (last minute). Some of the student athletes need guidance. Maybe if they had a meeting with the football team to go over the process of how to sign up for all these things. I witnessed a player sleeping on another player's couch awaiting for housing assignment right before the start of school and the question I asked myself at the time was why is the football program not handling this properly. This player had been on campus since the summer practicing and he still did not have a room in August. I had never heard of this happening to athletes at other schools in my experience. If this has happened to multiple players and not an isolated incidence then it is a valid complaint and a poor reflection on taking care of your players.

From my experience Scholarship players in all sports are fast tracked to the front of the housing list unless they are upper Classman that choose to live off campus or at least they should be . It is the head coach and his staff's responsibility to track and make sure all of those things are in place for there Scholarship athletes, and if they are not in place the HC contacts the AD the AD contacts the housing Administration management branch and the Chancellor to make the necessary Corrections . Now if the player or players are ..i.e none Scholarship or preferred walk-on's . I can see that happening because it's not the responsibility of the Athletics department to make those arrangements for them, that is the students responsible to make those time lines and arrange there housing and cafeteria/ dining hall accommodations . So the question I have for you is was the player or those players on Football or athletic Scholarship/Scholarships ? If they were on scholarship and this did happen both Hilton, Martin and the coaching staff should be held accountable for their incompetent institutional management oversight. Because most programs have and assistant coach/coaches or Graduate/Graduates assistants that do all of that leg work for the athletes on scholarships . Personally I find that hard to believe especially if this individual was on scholarship. Scott Hall had one-side that was targeted for the athletes back in the day . Dose A&T have an athletics housing dorm on campus now ?

2017 - Broadway retires on top. We hire Washington. 2018 - We finish 10 - 2 with wins vs. Jacksonville State & ECU and home losses to Morgan and FAMU. CB Champs. #12 in poll. 2019 - We finish 9 - 3 with win vs. ranked Elon, loss to Duke and losses on the road vs. Morgan and FAMU. CB Champs. #23 in poll. 2020 - No season due to covid 2021 - We finish 5 - 6 in first year of Big South conference play. Lost GHOE. Beat the Buzzards. 2022 - We finish 7 - 4 in second and final year in Big South. Win GHOE. Lose to the Buzzards. Lose the championship. Have 7-game winning streak. So, in 4 on-the-field years, we win the CB twice, participate in a conference championship game only to lose it and you are shown the door? The schedule is the schedule. And winning is HARD no matter the competition. Why are you including MEAC/Celebration Bowl stats.....we're 2 conferences removed from being in the MEAC. 7 wins last year - all versus losing teams. The teams we'll be facing in the Colonial will look much more like G-W and North Dakota St than Robert Morris and Bryant. Frankly, I don't see how anyone can be against this decision......IF YOU ARE IN AGREEMENT WITH THE MOVE TO THE COLONIAL. There was nothing about our current program that said we were "Colonial ready" under Washington.... ....and if the next coach that is hired does not appear to be "Colonial ready" (ie. Maynor), then I will call for the dismissal of all involved in the selection. Yes. You are correct. But, what is a Colonial-ready coach?
