Yall dont deserve a Blue Death After Dark. Yall are content with the school firing head coaches and not telling the fanbase a damn thing. Has anyone in the media reached out to Brian to find out what's going on? I mean Lut Williams has a direct line to Coach Washington. I'm pretty sure he also reached out to Brian and A&T overall. |

Can't help but wonder if Coach Washington's attitude towards the CAA move had anything to do with it. He definitely ain't get fired for it, but do you want the figurehead of your main program to have an at best ambivalent attitude towards all the moves you're making? I mean deep down Hilton probably is cringing over the moves but he puts on a great game face. Washington didn't really have the political capital to do anything but the same. At what point does Martin question Washington getting an extension? I assume he signed off on it, but then he turns around and calls for his removal. That's a serious waste of resources. Either Hilton or Martin is at fault for extending the man and then changing their mind a year or so later. I didn't think about the attitude angle, but it's important. If you didn't want to be in the new Big South/CAA environment (which Coach expressed in several different ways), then he shouldn't be. And as a leader, I wouldn't want you there regardless of your performance, particularly in a public facing role. |

Maybe the school wants to make a single announcement, about the coaching change and naming the new coach in the same announcement. That would be unprecedented for A&T, but refreshing in a way. I doubt it though.

It just goes to show you the lack of communication with all the leaders at NC A&T. I would like to see a new AD and Chancellor at NC A&T. Nothing has changed over the last few years except for the hole they are digging. It is the same BS everyday. We did not need the CAA to be an R1 institution.
How you not Make an announcement about Coach Washington being released from his duties? The players found out through social media. Now players are leaving and our program will be a doormat. Maybe that is what they want.

WXII mentioned Coach Washington being fired on the 11 pm news program. It was very brief and they showed a few clips of him coaching.
I checked the other 2 local stations and they did not mention his firing on the 11 pm shows.
We still ain't relevant.

They haven't mentioned it because the university hasn't yet issued or made a public statement regarding Washington. Until they do, with some sort of explanation as to what happens next, the local media isn't going to touch it without some hard facts in hand. I know I wouldn't. There's more than enough conjecture, hurt feelings, and alternative facts flying around at the moment to fill the Grand Canyon. |

Speechless. Would’ve been fine with me last year, but in my eyes he redeemed himself this year. Coaching is a bs business. Thanks Coach. I’m appreciative of all you did. I'm okay with letting him go if...the Administration has a better coaching candidate that can get us to the next level. To me coach Washington appeared to always be a step behind. Based off the mass exodus it’s safe to say that we did not have a legitimate coach in mind. You would think they would have had a conversation with the players and said hold on we have x coach and things are going to be better. I’m not seeing any evidence of that conversation. It’s official the football program has totally been demolished .. |

We need the "Sunshine Gang" to fall in and make all of this feel positive QUICKLY. I can make a case for the change itself being a positive, but the communication is lacking in this age of the 24-hour news cycle and social media. Folk are filling in the gaps with all sorts of crap. I would expect something from the school before the day is over even if it is a one sentence press release.
