Interesting mix to back fill the replacement of Tuten. Coach mentioned Jailen Hicks. Idk if anyone caught that but it sounds like he was recruited to remain as RB at 6'4. We should without a doubt have the tallest RB room in the country with Hicks 6'4, Dixon 6'2, and Kenji Christian 6'2. I hope that Hicks is moved to safety or receiver . Where his speed can be used out in space .

Hicks reminds a great deal of Harvey Reed who played for Howard in the mid to late eighties. Tall (for the time), lanky, patient, loose hips, tremendous burst through the hole and gone if he gets space into the secondary.

Pound-for-pound, I still say that Mo Hicks was the best runningback that the MEAC has ever seen (personal opinion).

His son is an exceptional 400 Runner with a long stride and I don't think that his father had that kind of speed. From my experiences I've always found that tall fast long striders make better safeties or receivers provided they can catch and hit. As many running backs that we have in our room I think it would be more beneficial for Hicks to be moved to receive or safety. I just don't want to see the young man pigeonholed because of who his father was.

Oh, I know that I'm in the minority concerning who's The Best RB that the MEAC has ever produced...and I ain't mad at 'cha! I have The Kid down as The Most Exciting RB that the MEAC has ever produced.
But back to my question, who will probably be the faster mature college RB, Pops or son??

But back to my question, who will probably be the faster mature college RB, Pops or son?? Depending on the distance. If it's the 400 I give Jr the Edge and possibly in the 200 . I think that pops. Maybe faster in the shorter races up to 100 .

Possible that young Hicks can lineup as a back but utilize him differently 🤔 agreed. i don't have a problem with him playing rb but i'd move him around depending on game conditions, sometimes i'd put him in the slot or even wideout if necessary. i wouldn't try to pigeon hole him into a set position until i've had time to see him perform at multiple positions in real games. once he's played a couple of games, then perhaps we could settle him into a single position or two based on the best fit...
