I would not come. We provide them Half time entertainment and oh by the way you have to pay for you seat !!!!. I remember the last time A&T band was there, they game the Band a standing ovation!!!! I guess they forgot about the entertainments(comes with a cost) . Then we going to sell out the visitor side stadium. We black forks will never learn. If things was reverse. It would only be hand full of them coming to the game and the band would not show up if they got one. You don’t realize they could care less about our band attending… Our band not being there gives them more of a home field advantage, it’s about the band being there to support our team. Only HBCU fans care about a visiting band.

Pretty much. Their fans will come back to their seats after halftime and watch the rest of the game. If our band don't come, they won't be fazed.

Better yet, I go to games to support Aggies where ever I'm physically able to get to.
The band and cheerleaders should be in attendance to also support the football team.
They are not required to perform on field at halftime. If they want to fine if they don't, fine. They should be in attendance for our (Aggie fans) entertainment and support of Aggie football.

The band and cheerleaders should be in attendance to also support the football team. Like I stated in last week's podcast, that is the main purpose of the BGMM - to support the football team during football games. Everything else is just a bonus.

Since 2011, A&T has been their 2nd highest attended game at 7,015 fans(2017). UNC-Charlotte is the only school that outdrew us with 7,892(2014-homecoming). That's why those tickets went from $25 to $30 over night..lol

Yesterday's price is not today's price.

Just a few quick points... the issue with the band paying isn't about having the money but just the fact that they waited until a week before the game to ask the BGMM to pay. If the BGMM decides to attend the game, the money will be there!
As for the seating space in the stadium, it's going to be tight but there's plenty of room on the visitor's side for all of us and the band. This will not be a sellout, but it will be the biggest crowd they've seen at a football game since Ap State played them.
The ticket vendors are jacking the ticket prices up daily. I bought 2 general admission tickets for $30 each from their ticket office. Stub Hub is selling that ticket for $40 each plus handling charges. And I'm sure other vendors are charging more. This is going to be a surprising payday for Gardner Webb. Sure wish this game was being played in Greensboro.

It's really not their job to make anything easier for us. We're the largest, travelin-est, band-havin-est, most rabid-est fanbase havin-est school in the conference. EVERY school in the conference should've been doing the same dang thang lol. I don't know too much about GW other than they lost to Central State in the NAIA national championship game by like a field goal in one of the last years Billy Joe coached there before he left for FAMU. I was in school then and I remember thinking "Gardner-Webb?" What that tells me is they have taken football seriously at some point, and are doing so again. If you're up for the conference championship and can make a killing off of it any way possible you do it, jerk move or not. If I'm in the administration tain't no way in hell I want the band at my stadium. I want every advantage possible. But if they gone be there a) I want them paying and b) I want the team penalized every time I hear a musical note come from them when my team has the ball in play. Hopefully halftime is closer than the game

It's really not their job to make anything easier for us. Not sure why people don't get it People get it, they just don’t like it…not valuing bands, opposing fans, or the “show” associated with college football will take some getting used to for HBCU fans. Our games have always been about more than game. They are cultural and social outlets. GW wants every advantage they can get, and could care less about the game atmosphere as long as they win.

Well after this , they should come to the AAF meeting and let the AD know to never play them ever again

HBCU fans need to get used to not seeing opposing bands. NCCU band did not travel to SCSU NCCU band did not travel to NSU SCSU band did not travel to A&T FAMU band did not travel to SCSU FAMU band did not travel to Grambling SU band did not travel to FAMU The days of HBCU bands traveling to every away game is long gone.
