In any event, Iseah (6-3, 238) is a top tier defensive prospect who can play as either as an MLB or standup DE. He is rated by Prep Redzone as the No. 4 defensive line prospect and 21st best player in North Carolina in the class of '23. At Charlotte Independence, he closed out his senior year being tabbed a first team All-State selection after amassing 125 tackles (95 solo), 17 TFL, 3 sacks, 2 interceptions, and accounted for three touchdowns. For his 3-year varsity career he had 264 tackles (177 solo), 50 TFL, and 18.5 sacks. Hudl highlights: www.hudl.com/video/3/13049225/63c6b7323453540af8e2f00f

The over saturation of college players in the transfer portal has left a literal treasure trove of extremely talented high school players out there unsigned heading into next Wednesday's signing day who are readily available to programs and coaches who prefer to build and develop their personnel long term from the prep ranks.

In order for the 3-4 to be highly effective you have to have the dominant Nose or inside tackles . Do we have that dominant inside threat .

Until we get a dominant nose tackle and space eating defensive ends, we may want to stay with the 4-3 for now.

Try your best to create an environment where they want to stay four years, but at the end of the day you have to treat them as if they are one year rentals. At least until the portal rules change.

So, are we moving towards a type of minor league system?? Not training for the glory and pride of your school and the NFL promise, but for power five type programs to swoop up ready to play packaged players who no longer have interest in your program. To combat this developmental system of losing their best players that they have invested time and money to bigger schools. They may need to require the players and parents to enter into a contractual agreement with the school. For those players who dropped down to division two programs, they had to be very unhappy with their original program. With this newfound freedom for athletes to move from school to school, what affect do you think this new open style of managing college athletics will have on institutions in 10 to 20 years? How will it affect the purses of smaller conferences? What say yee?
