I'm still trying to figure out what 'kids entering the portal to go other places' says about:
1. Today's college athlete in general
2. Coach Ross's influence
3. A&T itself
4. Our new head coach
5. Poaching opportunities created by other schools

Well, so far, "Operation: Keep What ya Got" has been a disaster.
It appears our top athletes are having a mass exodus from the A&T track and field program.

Well, so far, "Operation: Keep What ya Got" has been a disaster. It appears our top athletes are having a mass exodus from the A&T track and field program. Not really surprised since I expect the OVERWHELMING reason they came to Wakanda/AggieLand was because of Coach Ross. Good thing is that we've hired a coach that has very good credentials. We'll see how they pay off. #LetsGo |

As the saying goes " If you don't want to be here get your die a$$ gone " A&T will be fine with or without in my opinion. Great athletes are available in abundance on a yearly basis from high school Juco and transfer portal and no one program can get them all . Johnson will just have to come in running. |

Did I read we could possibly have 30 athletes in the portal? If that is true then this is a lot deeper than Ross leaving. Probably only tolerated conditions here because of Ross.

IIRC in the thread about housing, someone mentioned that one of our athletes said in a twitter spaces session that a lot of them were transferring due to not being guaranteed housing |

It is hard to believe that any scholarship athletes could have a problem with housing. |

Not our problem. That belongs to Rocky Top. And it is also not an NCAA problem . Dude was tested 3 times leading into the NCAA Nationals and was allowed to compete for a slot on the National Team . People are making Something out of Nothing here without knowing his side of the facts just the AIUs side . Let this play out because Ross will get to tell his side at some point . Hell Gabby Thomas missed 3 test prior to qualifying for the Olympic team but no one seems to want to talk about that other than the Jamaicans 😆😜😉 . |
