Why have we not published the results? We have a tweet about the womens championship,but nothing about the men that I can find. Why do we always seem to not report "bad" news in a timely way? The both teams performed well.

So I work in hospitality management and the same crew that produced the broadcast for the BSC championships are here in Durham to work the ACC Championships, which start Thursday. I was checking in one of the guys from the crew and we got to chatting for a second...long story short, Campbell did DQ (he said they had it on video) and that A&T lost by 1 single point.

But don't expect Duane Ross, the Aggies director of track and field programs, to blame that on the 4x400. He did finish the race, which would have yielded the Aggies a much-needed point. But Brown was penalized for not finishing in his assigned lane, wiping away the digit. Ross' frustration comes in when he sees where his other 200M runners finished. Senior Daniel Stokes placed fourth (20.49), and sophomore Brandon Nya finished eighth (21.19). "That 200 race should have been swept all day long," said Ross. The best word I think I can use is - TENSE Because our men were so far behind, even though we were pretty sure we would make up ground, every race was "must see"! I caught up with one of my boys (son long jumps for HP), who I had lost contact with over 20 yrs ago. We had fun talking trash all the way through! Lots of calculations and scenarios done and discussed! He and his 2 or 3 folks were like deer in headlights when we saw Campbell had beaten HP in the 4x4, until there was an announcement that Campbell had fouled. Then I was the deer! We (Aggies) had the best seating (at the finish line). I had a good time trash talking some Hampton folks, that came into our area (one a football player that's also on the track team). I will say that it was easier for me to trash talk them than the "others" I talked to! Y'all missed out and I expect we would have won had y'all been there to support! Lol! |
