Wasn't someone adamant that the Big South wasn't better than the MEAC in Track & Field and it would be just as easy to win Championships here as it was there. A few people probably were. But Coach Ross wasn't one of them.

Its a lot harder in the Big South because they have great distance programs and pole vaulters. Your team has to be well rounded. The missing triple jumper and lack of dominate high jumper will definitely hurt this year. At least in the CAA one team wont dominate the pole vault and everything over a mile. Well, Northeastern will, so thats going to be a challenge as well. Someone will have to bust up those distance and pole vault points not name A&T. Not sure if thats possible. UNCW is a sprint/field school, W&M and Hofstra sucks, Hampton is a sprint school, and Howard(if they come) is also a sprint school. Northeastern will be hard to dethrone because of the way the sprint point will be broken up. CAA is actually a terrible track conference on the men's side. A lot of the schools dont even have a men's program currently. Only 4 teams currently do. A&T, Hampton and Howard would be bringing a lot for track.

I don't know of anybody that said the BS wasn't better than the MEAC. What was said is that we should still be able to win ships in men's and women's T&F.
