If they do, how does this affect what A&T is doing? Also, why do A&T Alumni care? The caring seems to be misguided frustration with A&T leaving the MEAC and the lack of realizing A&T alumni can still go to the Celebration Bowl and enjoy Atlanta the weekend before Christmas.

Deion has the biggest brand 🤣🤣🤣 Who talked about JSU prior to Deion’s arrival?

JSU led FCS in attendance prior to Deion's arrival. They were always a sleeping giant.

JSU led FCS in attendance prior to Deion's arrival. They were always a sleeping giant. They have been playing in a 60,000 seat stadium for almost 50 years now. That's a very huge factor on top of being in the Black Belt of the Deep South. A truly unique situation.

coach prime is currently jsu's brand. if coach prime leaves, then that brand leaves with him. not so at a&t, no matter who leaves, "ghoe" and "aggie pride" will always be our brand.
that being said, i've always felt that the koolest hbcu band names were the "sonic boom" and the "human jukebox". to me, those are the two koolest hbcu marching band "brands"...

Also, this whole "Brand" thing is fluid. I would say yes right now but, all it takes is a change in personnel and then it will move to another school. So, I don't see it as something to be jealous of or envy. We've had a good run as far as success on and off the playing fields in several sports. And we still have a strong brand however, one bad move or decision can definitely change that. As long as we plateau and not decline, when it's our time again we can be the flagship university.

Proud they getting what they deserve but damn. I understand they got a big name coach but this man got them right on everything his very first day there. I would think they were FBS if I ain’t know any better.

All depends on what you want to be "known" for...in HBCU sports, right now I'd have to say yes...in academics...or famous Alumni, I'd have to say no. Then there's the whole area of "brand" versus perception. JSU kicks azz in the SWAC for sure, but outside the SWAC are they a factor? Your "brand" can't win games, but it can bring in recognition and funding. So it's a mixed bag.

Personally, I'd much rather follow the App State or James Madison Model rather than Jackson State. Aside from being an HBCU, we seemingly have more in common with those two new-ish FBS programs rather than Jackson State.
They are truly a unique brand that's not easy to replicate, especially when it comes to the larger-than-life persona and personality of Coach Prime.

From the outside looking in, I see JSU as a school that has a famous ex athlete as a FB coach. I know very little else about the school as a whole. I bet most folks outside of the SWAC and Alabama are like me.
I would like to be known for more than just athletics and a famous coach (who’s just a big contact away from leaving)

When they have won a few more Championships, I’m assuming this Brand questions is realative to sports, I love seeing the kids excited about building while having fun
