Look around. It's already dusty.
This very thread is about alumni trying to make it very simple to give to the school and the school has almost totally failed to acknowledge it, much less capitalize on it. The idea was presented to the school several years ago and they did next to nothing.
I've come to expect it. I'm bitterly disappointed but it is what it is.

If 2000 people do this, it generates over $450,000 annually. What's so hard for the administration to understand? If the administration won't do it, why wouldn't Coach Washington say, "join the 18.91 Club and click 'Football'"? |

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard!!! Those with egos should write a personal check for $450,000 EVERY YEAR themselves.

Ironically, there have been several current coaches who joined the $18.91 Club. They see the value in it more than the folks in Dowdy do.

By joining the 18.91 club you immediately become a blue level donor, that's a great start and you can try to increase annually.

Will there be a membership drive at the NCCU game? There will be at least 25,000 Aggie supporters there. Banners with QR codes all around the stadium?

Can we reach out to the coaches to join and to tweet? I know Barnette joined, but did he publicize? Can we crowbar it in at a football press conference or get Coach Washington to mention it? Can we get every coach to mention it at every interview? This money is going to their programs. Perhaps if it's done enough times the AD will follow suit and make sure it's properly promoted.
At this point, this is money we NEED.
I'm asking, naw, I'm begging anybody with inroads to any athletic staff to get them on board with joining with publicizing.

Getting the coaches involved is a noble idea but I don't think they are connected with enough alums to really make a difference. I suggest that we create a "standard" ad and ask Bluedeathvalley readers to post it every week on their personal Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Just flood social media with the same ad showing folks how to sign up. Is AAF supporting this effort? |

Of course that doesn't mean we shouldn't do what you stated as well.

Lol I understand folks skepticism but we shouldn't give up. Also if you type in names of your closest friends (I know that list is massive) you can send it specifically to those folks that know and respect you! I know this is an uphill battle but as the last A&T ad stated... Always doing, never done! |
