It appears there are 52 people watching the meeting. I'm betting over 40 are from this message board. Earl is putting up some good info. The info yesterday was more detailed. Broke down how a big portion of the budget discrepancy is due to the private tuition cost of scholarships. We’re $9 million away in facilities and coaching budgeted dollars. That's pretty manageable honestly.

WCA is also stressing something that appears everyone is overlooking. That NCAA realignment this year is gonna shake a lot of schools up. Exactly, change is coming and the strong will survive.

The requirements to be DI may change; the requirements to be FCS may change; there may not even be FCS anymore; the March Madness distribution may change; playoffs may look different; NCAA academic oversight may look different. My fear is that the new system may look even more like a plantation structure, if you know what I mean?

Overall, mostly positive responses on other boards. I did see someone mention that we didn't fit academically.

Sounds like the bottoms of the MEAC/SWAC would be going D2 real soon if things get really shifty

I did see someone mention that we didn't fit academically. Going back to my Scott Hall days, I'd unleash a Mama joke in there somewhere.

“We are just as strong and competitive as we were before, and I think that for us to continue to hold the legacy, the culture that we have … we can still give our fans the competitive great games that we’ve always given without feeling like we have to assimilate to predominantly white conferences.” -Meac Comish

TSU’s President and Chancellor Martin are tight. I can see this happening.

Instead of looking for mic drop moments in every public address. The whole HBCU landscape is waiting, and would welcome that growth.

Yep, the MEAC will still give their fans competitive great games...at the level of "competition" they play.
