I concur.....that school needs to stay open and accredited for the young brothas/sistas in the Palmetto State (and beyond).

Hopefully this added security can help them get their enrollment back up. I believe it is still around 2,500.

great news for the dawgs. considering that they just won the celebration bowl and taking home a rather hefty check, scsu now has some "momentum" and is definitely heading in the right direction. i truly wish them bruthas and sistas the best.
2 years ago i donated $200 to scsu and norfolk state because i felt so bad that my alma mater abandoned our longtime fellow hbcu partners. good to see that my donations have not gone to waste...

Good News. Now the SC State Legislature need to give them some damn money. Unfortunately they are not going to voluntarily do that and in order to achieve the restitution that they are owed they need to sue...just like we do.

because i felt so bad that my alma mater abandoned our longtime fellow hbcu partners. It's laudable to contribute to another HBCU, but that abandonment talk is getting old. That's just like saying I abandoned my childhood friends because they chose to stay in our hometown all of their lives and I didn't. They are still my friends and we accept each other's decision.

It's his money, his hang up, and his choice. I agree that the talk is beyond stale but as I noted it's a message board. If we don't want to read him repeating it ad nauseum the best thing to do is move past it when he reposts it repeatedly. It's very apparent he feels strongly about it.
As for the geechees, I'm pleasantly surprised they're making their way out of this mess. I felt the state just had it in for them.
