Ross Jr. Makes The Bowerman List Ross Jr. won three event national titles in 2021 along with Olympic Gold. EAST GREENSBORO – The United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its The Bowerman Watch List on Thursday for men's track and field. North Carolina A&T track and field star Randolph Ross Jr. made the list along with nine other collegiate standouts across the nation. The Bowerman Award is the highest honor bestowed to the most outstanding collegiate track and field athlete every year. The USTFCCCA will release watch lists throughout the season, and each time the organization will only place 10 men and 10 women on the respective list. The other nine candidates to open the season are LSU's Sean "Squirrel" Burrell, Florida State's Trey Cunningham, Florida's Joseph Fahnbulleh, Oregon's Emmanuel Ihemeje, Iowa State's Wesley Kiptoo, Texas A&M's Brandon Miller, Notre Dame's Yared Nuguse, Georgia's Karel Tilga and Arizona State's Turner Washington. Ross Jr. is coming off a spectacular season in which he won three event national championships in 2021. During the indoor season, he helped the men's 4x400 team that also included Trevor Stewart, Elijah Young and Daniel Stokes win the national title in Fayetteville, Ark.
