Establishing policies/procedures for basketball success with minimum standards to consistently achieve a 12-seed or better in the NCAA Basketball Championships and position as many teams as possible for postseason consideration

This plan solidifies the conference as one focused on basketball while not ignoring the other sports. I like the establishment of a written goal of being no lower than a 12-seed in the NCAA tournament year after year.

I like the establishment of a written goal of being no lower than a 12-seed in the NCAA tournament year after year. With that in mind we have to change our approach to OOC games. Both of our coaches use essentially the same messaging after an OOC loss, "it will help us get ready for conference play". That's a cop out. Win the damn game. Losing it will not get you to a 12-seed.

That’s true, but… Let’s look at the budget of the schools getting that 12 seed (recruiting, training and Coaching Salaries, head and assistant)

I saw the Big South's new 5 year plan earlier today and I was damn impressed. I've been waiting all day to see if my fellow Blue Death family would also be impressed...or still pissed that we are in this damn conference. I'm glad that most of the comments are positive. I just think it's important to have a published plan. Let the stakeholders know what's expected and where we plan to go. I hope in 5 years when it's time to revise this plan, A&T is the dominant athletic program in the conference.

Pat Kelsey: $227,150 Base Salary and Receives $50,000 in retention bonuses. Receives $1 for each men's home basketball ticket sold above 11,151 up to a maximum of $10,000 per season. link

Excuses or not we better have our own plan and be on CODE. Based upon my o servations this past season; we must be dominant discipline and exude class. Of course this starts with the Coach the Head Corner Stone. We must out perform our opponents , no more jaw jacking other silly theatrics just play hard fast and win. Remember we will always be looked upon as less than due to our virgin season. This will be the template for the second season. So my hope is that Coach Washington heeds the messages from the fan base and govern himself/hisself accordingly because it is indeed a new day for Aggie Football.
