The snaps have been horrid. That was another one. What do you mean been horrid? Our Long Snapper has been perfect all season, aside from that low one on field goal yesterday.

On a slightly different note…if we had lost this game the HBCU world would have been jumping on our heads haha.
I’m so glad we didn’t lose…

We won by double digits and played our worst game of the season.

We won by double digits and played our worst game of the season. I thought Hampton was much worse.

Idk where we go from here. Coach made the QB change. One game left...here we are. We should play Zach Yeager next week. Let him start. Hell what do we have to loose. what do we have to lose? heck, a shot at a "winning season"! you don't start a "true freshman" in a game that determines whether you have a "winning season" or not, especially given that he has essentially no experience. wrong time to place the fate of the team on an "unproven" true freshman. ifedi should be the starter next week with fowler as the backup. no reason whatsoever to take a chance on an "unproven" true freshman...

Agreed.
I’d just try to make sure Yeager got snaps too. And not just handoffs.

I wonder when the word came down that SC State was headed to Atlanta and their QB, Fields, was already in the locker room, did they intentionally take the hall away from Kendrel Flowers? Flowers killed us, but touched the ball three times in the second half.

I will say this after Saturdays game...if our team can beat the 2 best teams in the MEAC then, we have to give credit to the Big South as conference. SC State makes the Celebration Bowl with possibly a losing record. I wonder what that will do for the Celebration Bowl ratings. We all know that Jackson State will beat the snot out of SC State. But, back to us, I'm proud they played 4 quarters and pulled out a victory in South Carolina.

It goes without saying...... Hell, if we were still in the MEAC, Fowler would probably be in the running for MEAC POY. I just don't think folks realize there is a difference playing better competition EVERY SINGLE WEEK (including the powers-that-be that pulled the trigger on the move to the BS).

The operation was very good at the beginning of the year. For some reason the operation has not been very solid. We have had some trouble getting the ball down for the kicker. Maybe Ifedi can hold the ball.

I suggested on social media that they start having the backup quarterback hold on FGs and extra points, but they seem pretty adamant about allowing the punter to have the role.
My guess is because the punters and placekickers are around each other the majority of time at practice and thus can get more reps in. But it is pretty obvious that Rivers does not have the best hands on the team.

I understand we only have one game left but it might come down to a FG or extra point for the final win. I would love to see the seniors go out with a win Saturday.

If it is the hold, and no one would more than kicker himself, a legit concern could be losing Brown to the Portal.
If it's something that's not being addressed he may decide to look elsewhere, just saying.
That unit just needs to be evaluated and proper corrections made.

Didn't Carter used to hold during his career? Why not have the backup QB hold permanently because they are more accustomed to handling and receiving the ball?
